Shahadah

It is the first pillar of Islam. Anyone who utters enters into the fold of
Islam.
The literal meaning of Shahdah is to bear witness. In Islamic terminology
it means the following:
There is no God Except Allah and Muhammad(pbuh) is the
messenger of Allah.
The shahadah consists of two parts.
The first part states that Allah is the only God. is the Sustainer, Provider
and Organiser of the worlds. He is the creator of the universe.
He is All-knowning.The One who sees everything.

Verily, your Allah is one! Lord of the heavens and the earth and all
between them and lord of every point at the rising of the sun.

Only Allah is the one to whom we should worship because He is worthy

of it.

Your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him
Surah Ikhlas sums beautifully the attributes of Allah:

Say, He is Allah the one and only. Allah the eternal Absolute.

He does not beget nor is he begotten. There is none like unto him.

We believe in Allah in every aspect of life by following the do’s and

abstaining from the dont’s.
We know He is All powerful who Has control over everythinh.
We fear him and ask to him for anything we want.
You and we worship and your aid we seek.
We also believe in the attributes which he chose for Himself and the
names which He gave to Holy Prophet(pbuh).
He is Omnipotent,The one who knows and sees everything.
The Most Merciful who is the Lord of all the worlds.

There is nothing like whatever unto Him and He is the One who hears
and sees all things

The seconds part is about the prophethood of Muhammad(pbuh) who is the

Last prophet of Allah sent as a mercy for the all the worlds.
Allah is our Lord and we to tell the people which things will please and dislike
Allah, He sent his Messenger Muhammad(pbuh).He was chosen by Allah for
this difficult task to spread the message of Tauhid. Like others Prophets
before him, he was opposed by the community but unlike other prophets,Holy
prophet combined the qualities and merits of his predecessors to the degree
of perfection and became a mercy for all:

We sent you not as a mercy for all the worlds

The message of Islam was completed through him and the last book
Quran which was revealed to him got the assurance from Allah that He
will safeguard it.

We indeed sent down the message and we will assuredly guard it.
The teachings of Islam preserved forever meant that there no need for
another Prophet. Holy Prophet(pbuh) is the seal of the prophets.

And Muhammad(pbuh) is not the father of any of you, he is the

Messenger of Allah and the seal of prophets.

Holy prophet(pbuh) summed up all the teachings of the previous

prophets which were to be preserved for the times to come until Day of
Judgement.
