SECURITY PATROLLING
POLICY
To provide guidance on the action during conducting Security Patrol in and around the hotel area.

AIM

To provide a detail guidelines for implementation by management and security personnel in the event of
Security Patrolling in and around Le Meridien Dhaka.
.

PURPOSE
1. To ensure foot patrol in each and every corner of the hotel.
2. To ensure appropriate presence of duty security personnel in the deployed posts.
3. To ensure physical attendance during patrolling at the vulnerable/key points and blind corner of the
hotel.
4. To achieve physical observation in and around the hotel building and notify competent authority.
5. To maintain security round report in register as record.

Procedure
1. Get approval from on duty Assistant Security Manager/Security Officer as applicable.
2. Endorse Name, Designation, Time and Date on the register before starting a security patrol.
3. Take the digital camera to capture any incident that to be reported. Make sure about the charge of
battery.
4. The Patrol would be conducted both in Fixed times and Random times based.
5. In an eight hours shift Minimum 04 (Four) Patrols would be conducted by Security Assistant and
minimum 02 (Two) patrol would be conducted by Security Officer.
6. During patrolling all the key points must be checked as per the list. (Annex – “Ä”)

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR PATROLLING PERSONNEL
1. Start the security patrol from a designated point of the hotel area.
2. During security round all doors, exit signs, electrical lights and other accessories to be
observed with care.
3. Anything unwanted to be notified immediately to the on duty Assistant Security
Manager/Security Officer as applicable.
4. Any unwanted move or unusual incident noticed to be reported to the on duty Assistant
Security Manager/Security Officer as applicable.
5. For any unwanted or suspicious movement inform CCTV controller with proper identification
and location. Keep on following until CCTV controller gives feedback of suspicious subject.
6. Any information related other department to be notified to the concerning department as well as
the on duty Assistant Security Manager/Security Officer as applicable.
7. Reaching to a key point the surrounding to be observed carefully so that nothing unusual
remains unnoticed.
8. If any door of the guestroom found open inform the on duty Assistant Security
Manager/Security Officer as applicable immediately. After communicating with reception desk
the on duty Assistant Security Manager/Security Officer will inform the action to be taken.
9. Patrol the perimeter for any kinds of abnormality.
10. For any extreme operational emergency on duty Security Officer/Assistant Security Manager
may be called to a certain point.
11. Check all emergency exit doors are properly locked, open the door to check its serviceability &
freeness from any obstruction.
12. Check all emergency stairs are always ready for anytime use.
13. Check all roof top entry are closed and properly locked except any certain period of authorized
utilization.
14. During patrolling through the guest floor keep careful listen for any abnormal sound from inside
the guestroom. If any, notify the security control immediately.
15. During patrolling if any situation arrived that needs attendance and will take time, to be
informed to Security Control then act as per the instructions.
16. For any reason or exigency if there any break is required, informed to Security Control then act
as per the instructions.
17. Check all security personnel are performing their respective duty with proper phenomena at all
the designated posts.
18. Ensure all the outlets are properly closed and locked after the business hour.
19. Security patrolling to be completed within the certain period.
20. Upon completion the Security Patrolling an entry should be made on security patrolling register
for further record.

NOTE: THIS POLICY MAY BE CHANGED, AMENDED AT ANY TIME WITH THE
APPROVAL OF COMPETENT AUTHORITY.

Key Patrol Points List: The key patrol points are listed below but this is not to confine the patrolling area.

1. Above Roof Top: Solar panel, Lift Machine Room.


2. 17th Floor: IPR, IMR-1, IMR-2, AHU, Boiler room, Cooling Tower, Boost up pump, Kitchen Pantry, Lift
Machine Room, Infinity Roof Top.
3. 16th Floor: Swimming Pool, Plant Room, Pool Bar, Olea and Sky Ballroom with AV Control Room.
4. 15th Floor: Central AC Plant Room, Main Kitchen, Pastry Kitchen, Latest Recipe, Favola and 15 Above
(BAR).
5. 14th Floor: Grand Ballroom, All Meeting Room, Spa, Beauty Salon. Fitness Center and Banquet Kitchen.
6. All the guest floors from Level 8 to 13.
7. Lobby Floor: Front Porch, Lobby, HUB, Latitude 23, Reception, Business Center, Crew Lounge, BOH,
Executive Office.
8. Ground Floor (Semi Basement): HK Store, Laundry, HK Office, Locker Room, Electrical Sub Station,
Associate Canteen, Generator Room, RMU and Gas Store.
9. Basement-1: Parking area and Engineering Store.
10. Basement-2: Parking area, Fire Pump Room, Water Treatment Plant, Lifting Pump, BTS Room,
Engineering Office and Workshop.
