Veterans Day 2019

Taking it to the schools
American Legion of Montana District 1
Commander Joe Yeoman is pretty jacked up for
this year’s Veterans Day, as the Glasgow Public
School System gave the approval to have programs
at each of our three schools on the morning of
Monday, November 11th.
“We really need to start reaching out to our kids
more,” says Joe, “they’re our future.”
The day will begin at the Veterans of Foreign War
Fort Peck Post #3107 in Glasgow with a FREE
breakfast for ALL Veterans, active military and
their families. Albertsons is providing the
food and the Glasgow High School Student
Council will be doing the cooking
and serving.
VFW and American
Legion members will be
addressing the Middle School
students at 8:15 and will be at
the Irle School at 9:00.
The main program (held
at the Glasgow Civic Center
for how many years?) will be
presented in the Glasgow High
School Auditorium featuring
the GHS Band.
This year’s keynote
speaker is Aaron Flint.
Aaron, with the rank
Aaron Flint, Montana Veteran and host of Montana Talks, will be the keynote
speaker for the Veterans Day program in Glasgow on Monday, November 11th.
