Module 8: EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
Topic: INTEGRATION ACTIVITY

I- OBJECTIVES:

A. CONTENT STANDARD
The learners shall be able to recognize the different types of emotions and how they are
expressed

B. PERFORMANCE STANDARD
-The learners will be able to identify ways to communicate and manage emotions in a
healthy manner
C. LEARNING COMPETENCIES/OBJECTIVES

At the end of this lesson the learners will be able to;


1. discuss that understanding the intensity and differentiation of emotions may help in
communicating emotional expressions
(EsP-PD11/12EI-Ii-j-8. 1)
2. explore one’s positive and negative emotions and how one expresses or hides them
(EsP-PD11/12EI-Ij-8.2)
3. demonstrate and create ways to manage various emotions
(EsP-PD11/12EI-Ij-8.3)

B. Reviewing previous lesson or presenting new lesson

- “The Last Man Standing” Group the class into two. The students will be asked to
stand as their group number is mentioned. The last learner to stand will do the recap.

C. Establishing a purpose for the lesson


- Do a quick review the different kinds of Intelligences.

D. Discussing new concepts and practical new skills #1.

Discuss the Types of responses Passive,Aggressive, Assertive responses (TG page 73)

E. Discussing new concepts and practical new skills #2.

ACTIVITY: Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down.


This activity shows students that they have the power to choose their responses
to a feeling. It also gives them the opportunity to calibrate, within this safe social
setting, if their behavior is acceptable or not. (Teacher’s Guide page 73).
