Subject: APPLICATION FOR A SUMMER INTERNSHIP

I am a XX year undergraduate in Chemical Engineering in XXX. I have got to know about the company
from one of my senior, who had interned with you last summer. He has told great things about the
work and the environment at Yokogawa.

I’m looking for a summer internship in Yokogawa which allows me to apply my theoretical
knowledge in real-life practical situations. I see a great opportunity for learning and developing my
skills through your state-of-the-art facilities and well trained, experienced employees.

I’ve done two industrial trainings so far in HPCL-Vishakhapatnam and MCF-Mangalore in June and
December of 2017 respectively. Through these vocational trainings I have learned a great deal about
the operational procedures of the various plants. I happened to see the control systems made by
Yokogawa in MCF’s Ammonia plant. I didn’t get a chance to work on a project in neither of those due
to time constraints. I am willing commit for 6-8 weeks of this summer to work on a project which
helps me acquire necessary skills to pursue my career in this field.
