PROJECT SCOPE STATEMENT

Project: Delivery of Prescriptions using Drones for Wilmont’s Pharmacy – Pilot Project
Rev. R0 Date: 24th December 2019
Purpose:
The purpose of this project is to develop a ground breaking innovative technology for
delivery of prescriptions for Wilmont’s Pharmacy – A leading U.S. drug retail pharmacy
using Drones in San Francisco, CA in order to optimize the delivery system. This will be a
prototype based project to understand the feasibility of this new concept. The project is
being secretly developed.
Project Goals:
The Project include developing of customized, fully equipped drones for home to home
delivery of pharmacy prescriptions along with related software integrated with customer
portal system. The project will be commissioned on pilot basis in San Francisco, CA and
04 (Four) retail pharmacies of Wilmont’s will be participating in this project.

The drones designed for this project will be customized in order to handle sensitive
pharmacies and deliver them safely to the customers. Perceiving that the some of the
pharmacies are prone to temperature effects, the bagging system inside drones should
have temperature control facility. Also, the pharmacies are delicate and to ensure their
safe delivery, the drones should be equipped with bubble type cushioning system that
will enable safe & sound delivery of medicines.

The other aspect of this project is to develop a delivery software, which needs to be
integrated with existing customer portal of Wilmont’s Pharmacy. The customers willing
to receive this service should register them on the application & needs to be approved for
this facility by Wilmont’s Management. During the integration of software, the security of
Wilmont’s business information, customer privacy & proprietary information on drone
delivery system should be of prime importance.

For this prototype project, 04 (Four) of Wilmont’s retail pharmacies have participated
and for trial assessment customers in apartment buildings will not be approved by
Wilmont’s Management for opting this service, considering the complexity of delivery.

The project is estimated to cost $750,000 based on similar previous projects conducted
by DroneTech. However, the cost should be as less as possible. The funding for this pilot
project will be raised by Vice President (Operations), Wilmont’s Pharmacy. The delivery
system should be a seamless enhancement to Wilmont’s already top-quality delivery
process. The Wilmont’s Management is attempting to optimize their pharmacy delivery
using drones.

The project should commence on 5th January & considering the harsh winter conditions
in proposed region, the 1st test flight should be commissioned “no later than 30th
November”.
The testing of drone delivery operations will be conducted by appointed representatives
of Wilmont’s Pharmacy and their decision will be absolute and binding on all. These
representatives will review the test delivery flight along with ease and efficiency of the
integrated delivery software.

Project delivery Scope:

The project delivery scope is defined as below,
 Product Delivery Scope:
The products of this project can be devided into 2 segments,
1. Customized Drones for Pharmacy Delivery
2. Integrated Software linked with existing Wilmont’s Customer Portal
1. Customized Drones for Pharmacy Delivery
The predesigned drones of DroneTech should be customized in order to facilitate
home to home delivery of pharmacies from pharmacy stores to customer. The
drones should possess a secured package bagging system. As some of the
medicines are temperature sensitive, the packaging system should possess
temperature control facility. Altogether, a bubbling cushion system should be
provided to ensure safe delivery of the pharmacies. The drones should have a
customized package clamping system for releasing the package delivery safely.
DroneTech should provide 04 (Four) such customized drones to Wilmont’s. All
these drones will be painted in Wilmont’s corporate Colour & would bear their
Logo.
The test flight should be commissioned by 30th November to avoid harsh weather
conditions of the region.
2. Integrated Software linked with existing Wilmont’s Customer Portal
The another aspect of this project product would be to develop an integrated
software linked with existing Wilmont’s Customer portal for allowing customers to
utilize the drone delivery facility.
For this pilot project, Wilmont’s has restricted their services to customers not
residing in Apartments to avoid complexity. Thus, customers willing to opt for this
service should register their willingness by means of online entry or smartphone
entry on Wilmont’s customer portal. After significant scrutiny by Wilmont’s
management, the customer would be approved for these services & accordingly a
confirmation mail would be sent to the customer. DroneTech should integrate their
customer portal services to Wilmont’s’ software. All customer communications
should be interfaced electronically for email as well as mobile alerts, as per
customers’ requests.
 Service Scope:
The services part of this project includes following,
1. First of all, DroneTech needs to prepare contract document for the said prototype
project to make an agreement with Wilmont’s on all aspects of either the services to
be provided, or the cost of those services. The legal team of both organizations will
conduct negotiations on thisproject.
2. DroneTech will provide all the necessary training and assistance to the
participating pharmacies regarding drone delivery system. It should be
DroneTech’s responsibility to ensure that all participating pharmacies are
comfortable with loading products into the drone package carrier and engage in
this prototype by the time of first test flight.
3. The security of Wilmont’s Business information, customer privacy & proprietary
information on drone delivery system to be ensured while integrating the
customer delivery applications.
4. DroneTech should provide maintenance & repairs of this prototype drones for
period (To be specified in Agreement).
