ASSIGNMENT QUESTION
OBJECTIVE
The objective of this assignment is to enable learners to study and understand the roles of
information system, types of Computer Based Information Systems (CBIS) used, the use of
information technology for competitive advantage and strategic planning and the
importance Office Automation System (OAS) in an organisation.
REQUIREMENT
There are many types of business exist in the world. Organisation exist to run the business.
Every business have its own process. Students are advised to choose one organisation. For
this assignment students need to interview, at least ONE manager or administration staff to
find out about the basic business process, the Information System (IS) currently used by the
chosen organisation to answer the following questions:-
2. Describe THREE (3) types of Information Systems (IS) used in the organisation and discuss
on how information systems serve various management levels.
3. Describe any THREE (3) components of Porter's Five Forces Model with regards to the
organisation’s environment.
4. Office Automation system (OAS) assists many business and organisations. Discuss the
application of OAS in the organisation.

a. Provide references using the American Psychological Association (APA) format.
b. References should generally be latest (year 2009 onwards).
