1.1 BACKGROUND
Social media is a medium for socializing with each other and done online that allows
humans to interact with each other without being limited by space and time. Social media
has a big impact on our lives today. Someone whose origin is "small" can instantly
become big with social media, and vice versa, "large" people can be "small" with social
media.

If we can take advantage of social media, there are a lot of benefits that we can, as a
marketing, trading, looking for connections, expanding friendships. Social media has
become a basic necessity for some people, they are like addicted people who would feel
strange if they didn't use this information sharing site for a day. The average person who
has become a habit of using social media will feel this. But in essence social media has
only one function which is to establish communication online.

The rapid development of social media is now due to everyone like being able to have
their own media. If to have traditional media such as television, radio or newspapers, it
requires a large amount of capital and a lot of labor, then it is different with the media. A
social media user can access using social media with an internet network even if access
is slow, without large costs, without expensive tools and is done without employees. We
as social media users can freely edit, add, modify text, images, videos, graphics, and
various other content models.

According to Suning social media has positive as well as negative impacts. The
positive benefits of social media include making it easier to communicate and share
information to conduct business transactions. But behind that, social media also has a
negative impact One negative impact of social media is the case of bullying that often
occurs today

A. What is the negative impact of social media use ?

1. Easily affected by news or hoax information
Sosial media is the place where most false rumors are spread by irresponseble
people.
2. Spend your time in vain
Most people who use social media often waste time in vain, while they can
use positive activity that is wasting time. For example, praying, study.
3. Inciting hatred
Most people mistreat social media as an alternative way of expressing feelings
of offense to others, such as haters.
4. The fraud case that’s circulated on social media
Social media users often commit fraud, such as online shop fraud
5. The bullying case in social media
Most social media user who offend others and do not accept. With that the
bully happened.
B. Why is bully a negative impact on social media use ?
therefore it can have a prolonged impact on victims of intimidation because
memories of bullies are embedded and will suppress victims. And can make
victims behave badly.
C. How do we avoid bully ?
1. must be confident: if we are not confident and always feel inferior then other
people will easily demean us because we are not confident.

3. share experiences with friends who are also experiencing bullying so that we
can overcome problems together and get up together too.

In our group’s opinion, the existence of start in social media will make victims of bullying
to depression and change the health of victims. Therefore we recommend to users social
media in order to use positive social media to reduce action that invises.
