Homework is an additional burder for elementary school student

Piling on the homework is not good for student. The fact is it may can harm for their
health and lower their test scores. Dr. Cathy Vatterott an education professor at University of
Missouri-St.Louis spent much of her career to investigate about homework told us that
homework really did not prove any benefit in elementary school. Hence, teacher should know
that homework is additional burden for elementary school students and so in this essay will
explain 2 main reasons why homework is additional burden for them.

First, homework leaves less time for kids to be kids. Young learner like elementary
school students need leisure time to play outside. Playing with other friends outside is not just
only have fun but they also learn something new spontaneously. According to the information

and holiday to do something fun such as physical activities, playing outdoors, and
participating in sport with friends. Parents and also teacher can encourage them to do these
kind of activities more often.

Second, kids need rest to be productive in school. Homework also can distrub kids
sleeping time which is not good because the next day they need be go to school with good
condition so they need proper rest. Beside that rather than spending hours to do the
homework kids need to spend their time with families. Young learner still need the quality
time from their familly because it goods for their mental in the future.

To sum up, both main reasons of why homework is additional burden for elementary
school should be consideration for the teacher. Both parents and also teacher should
understand so the students will never felt like homework is just a burden for them.
