Course Introduction:
This course covers; Introduction to Computer Network, Communication between
Computers and Terminals, Layered Protocols, Network and OSI Model, TCP/IP, Satellite
Network, Switching and Routing in Networks & x.25 Network, Digital Networks &
Personal Computer Networks Internet Services.
Course Objectives:
At the end of the course you are expected to be able to:
1. Understand the concept of network topologies
2. Be familiar with OSI layers
3. Implement TCP/IP protocols in LAN
4. Differentiate between broadband and base band communication in LANs
5. Describe the concept of switching techniques.
