At the end of the lesson the students are able to:

1. Enumerate the different types of kitchen tools and equipments


2. Demonstrate use of kitchen utensils, tools, and equipment
3. Appreciate the importance of kitchen utensils, tools and equipment

A. Lesson Proper
Activity: The teacher will show a picture of a kitchen and the students will identify the things
that can be found in these area.

Based on the picture what have you notice?


What things you will found when you go to the kitchen
Based on the picture can you identify the our topic for today ?

Analysis:
1. It comes in graduating sizes and sloping sides used for mixing ingredients.
What is the term for this cooking tool?
2. What is the appropriate tool used to cut pies? Do you think we can use a
simple knife? Why or why not?

3. What is the importance of food mill? Do you think these tool helps in food
preparation? How can you say so?

4. What are the benefits of having a complete set of kitchen equipment tools?

5. Do you think by this utensils and tools will help a food handler? Why or why
not?

Application

The learners will identify the use of equipment tools based on the picture below:

Abstraction.

What will happen if a food industry has a lack of kitchen utensils and
equipment? Do you think it can affect their food preparation, how?
Evaluation:
DIRECTIONS: List the advantage and disadvantage of having a complete set of kitchen
utensils and equipment. Write it on a short bond paper.

Assignment:

Make your own ideal kitchen room, and assign an area where your kitchen tools and
equipment where found. Use a short bond paper and be artistic.
