Introductory Stirring Up Imagination


Activity - Using a Circular callout diagram, let the students think and fill the small
circles with ideas that are related to research.
- Then let them explain why the relationship of research and the ideas they
wrote.

- In this activity, the students share to the class about their experiences in
conducting a research.

Analysis Guide Question:


- Ask the students what do they perceive is the reason why they have
difficulty in doing or conducting a research?

Based on the students’ responses, introduce to them the significance of


research in a form of sharing.

Abstraction
1. Why there is a need to conduct a research?

2. What practical benefits can you get from research?


Application Activity:
Direction: Keeping the in mind what they have learned in this lesson, let the
student answer the question:
1. What do you want to be in the future?
2. Based on the profession you wanted to be in the future, do you think
there is still need to conduct a research? Why or why not?
5. Assessment
Assessing the extent of Concept Learning:

Direction: Write True if the statement is True and False if the statement is
erroneous.

1. Facts and known truth can be proven lies through research.


2. Research results can lead to the development of new medicines that not
only treat diseases but also prevent it from reoccurring.
3. Research helps researchers in solving problems related to juvenile
delinquency.
4. When the goal of the government is to improve the quality of living of the
populace research is not necessary.
5. The process of conducting a research is tedious and difficult therefore it
is not necessary for students and teachers to indulge themselves in such
activity.

6. Assignment Direction:

- Let the students have an advance reading on the characteristics,


processes and ethics of research.
- Tell them to prepare for a pre-test tomorrow to insure that the learners
will surely do the task given to them.
