ABOUT AXIS
AXIS has been in the field of fabricating and erecting communication and microwave towers for
telecommunications sector in India for nearly 20 years. AXIS has been identified as one of the major
vendors for carrying out BTS (Base Trans receiver) works on turnkey basis by cellular operators in India,
like BHARTI, INDUS TOWERS, QUIPPO, AIRCEL and RELIANCE.

TSP (Total Service Provider) – tower supply, erection, supply and commissioning of equipment, civil
foundation (Raft, Isolate, Piling, etc), DG shelter, compound wall and other miscellaneous civil works.

HISTORY
AXIS began in the early 1990’s as a ten man workshop in the then fast growing industrial neighborhood
of Kukatpally (Hyderabad, India). Slowly, with sheer perseverance and quality of work, AXIS started
expanding its strength. In the year 1994, AXIS bagged a contract from the DOT (Department of
Telecommunication) and entered the telecommunication infrastructure sector. Since then, there has
been no looking back. AXIS steadily increased its capacity, grew its client base and established strong
links in the industry thereby transforming itself into one of the key players in tower manufacturing industry
in the country.

Since inception AXIS has supplied and erected more than 8000 towers (approx. 84,000 Metric Tons –
tower height up to 80m), completed nearly 1000 civil sites and 400 TSP (Total Service Provider) sites all
over India.

AXIS has moved from undertaking minor job-works to providing TSP services for cellular sites all over India
in a span of less than 20 years.

Currently, AXIS is an 835 employee organization with countrywide presence, with nearly 300 employees
deployed onsite for erection and project works. AXIS has site offices all over India at places like
Gawhati, Siliguri, Imphal, Patna, Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar, Cochin, Coimbatore, Chennai, Bangalore,
etc.

AXIS achieved the 200 crore turnover mark in the fiscal year 2008-09. AXIS is the winner of “Best Tower
Delivery” award for the year 2009 from India’s largest Telecom Infrastructure Company – INDUS towers.

CAPACITY
The factory has a plinth area of 15,345 Sq.m (Unit –I 7341 sq. m, Unit –II, 5314 sq. m, and Unit –III 2689 sq.
m). AXIS also has a stock yard and dispatch yard spread over 52,609 sq. m., with over 835 employees
(including technical, non-technical and administrative staff) and are equipped with advanced
machinery of an installed capacity of 8000 MT per month in MS Structurals. AXIS is also constructing
another production and galvanizing plant spread over 24 acres of land at Sabashpalli, Toopran, along
National Highly No 7.

Current production is 2500 MT Hot Dip Galvanized structurals per month. Keeping the present demand
of the product/services in current Indian Telecom Industry, AXIS has recently expanded its production

from 2500 MT per month to 3000 MT per month, i.e. supply and erection of towers increased from
existing 250 to 300 towers per month, similarly the number of TSP site build up is increased from 40 to 80
sites per month and also the number of civil & electrical site build up are increased from 25 to 50 per
month. The expansion has been in the form of adding new equipment and machinery to existing plants
and acquiring new plants.

PRESENCE
Currently, AXIS has its presence in the following states in India: A.P, T.N, Karnataka, Kerala, Orissa, West
Bengal, Maharashtra, Assam & NE, UP East and West, Bihar, Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir.

QUALITY
For continuous improvement in terms of quality of products to meet the highest standards in the
structural line, AXIS has worked for and received the ISO 9001:2000 Certification for its unit in Hyderabad
on 13th of January 2007. The certification has been reissued on 25th may 2010 and AXIS is now an ISO
9001:2008 certified company. This unit is the 3 rd Unit to get this certification in the line of
telecommunication tower manufacturing in Hyderabad.

FUTURE
AXIS aims at utilizing the experience it has gained over the past twenty years in the telecommunication
infrastructure field to diversify into power transmission sector and other infrastructure fields.

MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS

As a part of its expansion plans, AXIS has acquired ‘Balaji Construction Company’ in the month of
August 2010. ‘Balaji Construction Company’ was established in 1999 and has the experience of
executing 200kv substations.
