PARTIAL 1
ORAL PRESENTATION

Generations
Monday, June 10

Instructions:

1. Make some research about the generation you’ve got. Include:

 Characteristics of the period.
 Characteristics of the people.
 Important historical events during those years.
 Other interesting/relevant information you consider important to share.

2. Present your findings to the class.

3. Wear outfits (hair, make-up, accessories, etc.), according to the generation.

4. Include new vocabulary and grammar structures learned, when possible.

5. Use visual support to make your presentation more real and interesting.

6. Be creative.

Important:

 All the members of the group have to speak the same amount of time. Presentations should last no
more/no less than 10 minutes.
 If you use a presentation, a poster or a video, remember that they are supposed to be short and catchy,
only to support the information, not to read from them. This is an oral presentation, not a reading activity,
so you are not allowed to read.
 You should always be speaking English.
 Comments and questions from the audience to the group will be taken into account.
 Preparedness and group organization will be taken into account.
 Print the rubric, write your name on it, and bring it to the class on the day of the presentation. You’ll give it
to me before your presentation starts so I can grade you. You won’t have time to print it out at the university
during the class.

 Presentations will start at 12:30. You’ll have ten minutes to get ready.

 Presentations will start punctually. If you are not in the class in the moment of your group
presentation, you won’t be able to present later, and therefore, you’ll have no grade.
