Performance objective
The Assessment is divided into two (2) Assessment Tasks to assess the student’s skills and knowledge
to develop, implement and maintain a strategic approach to managing human resources in an
organisation ensuring that the organisation has the structure and staff to meet current and
foreseeable business and performance objectives.

Assessment description
You are required to review a case study and conduct research to identify their human resource
needs. You will consult with others to agree on human practices and will then develop a detailed
strategic human resources plan for the company including a risk management plan, cost-benefit
analysis and monitoring and evaluation process.

To complete this assessment, you are acting as Deborah Page from PEOPLE consulting. You will need
to review the C-Design Case Study information above and use the information you have gathered in
assessment 2.

You will also need to conduct additional research in order to complete the tasks below.

Q1. Review the information gained in Assessment 1 and 2and develop a Human Resource Strategic
Plan for C-Design.

Your plan must include:

 Budget

 Objectives

 Priorities

 Time frames

 Cost benefit analysis

 Monitoring and evaluation methods

 Variation / change process and Version Control

Your plan must address, at a minimum, the following aspects of human resource management:

 Recruitment and Selection

 Remuneration and Benefits

 Employee Wellness

 Performance Management

 Succession Planning

 Training and Development

 Relevant legislation

You must include the use of technology and systems to support the human resources functions in the
plan.

Your plan must be documented in a professional business format and you may use the format in your
Learner Resource or a template of your choosing. (1,000 – 2,000 words)
