Market Road System, amending Sec-
tion 2 of Article XVII, Chapter 184,
Acts of the Regular Session of the
Forty-seventh Legislature, so as to
increase the tax imposed upon motor
fuel sold, ·distributed and used in
Texas from the existing tax rate of
four ( 4) cents per gallon to a tax
rate of five (5) cents per gallon;
amending Section 25 of said Act, to
reallocate and appropriate all of the
funds collected under the provisions
of said Article; describing the pur-
poses for which funds allocated to
the State Highway Department can
be expended; providing for an allo-
cation to the "Farm-to-Market Road
Fund"; prescribing penalties; pre-
serving all taxes, penalties, interest,
fines, forfeitures and bond liabilities
existing prior to the effective date of
this Act and preserving all criminal
penalties for offenses committed
prior to the effective date of this Act;
cOlltaining a savings clause; and de-
claring an emergency,"

ment of taxes on State Prison Farm
lands located in Fort Bend, Brazoria,
Walker, Houston, and Madison Coun-
ties now due and unpaid, exclusive
of penalties and interest, by the State
of Texas to said Counties and to the
Independent School Districts in which
said lands are located, for certain
years; authorizing payment of said
taxes by the Comptroller of Public
Accounts upon proper statements;

outside of county of residence with-
on t fishing license, providing for is-

fishing licenses; providing for exemp-
tion license; defining nonresident;
specifying who may issue licenses
hereunder; providing for issuance of
duplicate license upon certain condi-
tions and prescribing fee therefor and
punishment for false swearing in con-
nection therewith; providing for cer-
tain records and reports, remission of
fines and fees to Game, Fish and
Oyster Commission, their deposit in
State Treasury in Special Fish Prop-
agation and Protection Fund, speci-
fying purposes for which fund may
be expended; prohibiting fishing un-
der license of another; prohibiting
permitting another to fish under one's
license; providing for the effective
date of Act; prohibiting failure or
refusal to show license upon de-
mand by officer; prescribing suitable
penalty and license forfeiture for vio-
lation of any provision of this Act;
repealing Article 4032a, Revised Civ-
il Statutes 1925, and all other laws,
general or special or local, or parts
thereof in conflict herewith; con-
