YARN DK/ sport weight/ worsted however, to create the multi-layering of colour I used

Jemima
groupings of the following shades of 4-ply yarn, i.e. two or three strands at a time (the
actual mixes are written within the pattern and the shade written in parenthesis).
You will need one 50g ball of each of the following -
Yarn A - white 4-ply (Drops Alpaca shade 1101; B - off-white 4-ply (Drops Alpaca shade
knitting pattern by Claire Garland 0100); C - white mohair (Rico Essentials Super Kid Mohair loves Silk shade 001);
aka Dot Pebbles©
Plus small amounts yellow yarns for the bill and feet - Drops Flora shade 17 and Drops
Alpaca shade - 2923
NEEDLES Pair 3.75mm/ US 5 knitting needles plus pair smaller 3.50mm/ US 4 knitting
needles for the bill
TENSION 15 rows and 11 stitches over 5cm with 3.75mm/ US 5 knitting needles
EXTRAS Toy filling or scraps fabric or yarn for stuffing, two lengths black or grey black
embroidery thread, 8mm blue-grey toy safety eyes - however, if the toy is intended for a

very young infant then please embroider eyes instead

As mentioned in the contents, unless stated in the pattern, I have


used two or three strands of yarn held together throughout, in which
case with yarns A, B & C (white and off-white 4-ply and white mohair),
therefore with 3 strands, and 3.75mm /US 5 needles cont. as foll:

TAIL SEAM
Flip the duck inside-out through the un-sewn neck seam. See Fig 5.
Working on one side at a time, match row ends then ease together
and join with back-stitch (whip-stitch), so joining A to B / C to D - the
fastened-off edge of the breast joins to the tail seam. See Fig 5
