Real/Actual Meaning of Masturbation

Masturbation is the sexual stimulation of one’s own genitals for sexual pleasure. Masturbation
involves touching, pressing, rubbing or massaging a person’s genital area. The stimulation may
involve hands, fingers, Sex toys such as vibrators. Mutual masturbation is masturbation with a
sexual partner and may include physical stimulation of genitals such as fingering and handjob.

Have you ever thought that when the habit of masturbation develop in male and female?
The habit of masturbation in male and female developed at a time when they are an infant and
continued in preschool time after that in school time.

At the time of Infancy:-Masturbation in infants is also known as Infantile masturbation. A study


published in March 2004 issue of Archives of Disease in Childhood reported the middle age at
first symptoms was ten and one-half months, within the age of three months to five years and
five months. It is noted that they used to do seven times a week and the timing was two and
one-half minutes.

At the time of preschool:- Masturbation is a normal behaviour in preschool-age children and


most commonly occurs “When a child feels sleepy, bored watching television, or under stress,”
according to a 2002 advisory in the annual journal ​Clinical Reference Systems. ​The warning
states that up to 33% of preschool-age kids find masturbation while exploring their bodies. They
regularly keep on doing that because they feel better. It isn't irregular or inordinate except if it is
purposely done out in the open places after age five or six when most kids learn tact and stroke
off just in private.

At the time of School:-As most of the children seem to have the biological capacity to derive
pleasure from self-stimulation. Studies said that approximately 94 % of teenage males and
about 70% of teenage girls admit they masturbate.

Yes, Both men and women did this equally in the world. In some cases, the women population
for this is quite high than men. They usually love to do it three to four times a week.

Myths about Masturbation

Myth #1: Masturbation can damage the genitals

Truth: Men touches their penis or women rubbing their vagina or using vibrators is extremely
unlikely to damage the genitals. Your biggest risk is a little rubbing of soft genital skin during
extended sessions. The solution: A lubricant. Try to use saliva, vegetable oil. Or a commercial
tube.

Myth #2: Masturbation causes mental health problems

It causes only one, guilt, usually, the result of a youth spent hearing that it’s unnatural,
abnormal, and sure to send you to hell. But every sexuality expert agrees: Masturbation is
normal, healthy, and doesn’t cause physical or mental health problems.

Myth #3: Can you lose your virginity by masturbating?

No, Virginity is not something physical or medical. It’s a cultural idea, which many people have
different definitions of and opinions about. Concepts virginity are sometimes linked with the idea
that your vaginal opening is covered by a membrane that is “broken” by vaginal sex.

Myth #4: Is Masturbation Bad for you?

Masturbation is not bad for you physically, sexually, or emotionally - unless it is something you
simply do not want to be doing. Masturbation cannot make you infertile, cause acne, or make
hair grow on your palms. In fact, Masturbation can actually be good for you.

Myth #5: Is it harmful if doing in excess amount?

Masturbation is a common activity. It’s a natural and safe way to explore your body, feel
pleasure, and release built-up sexual tension. Despite the myths, there are actually no
physically harmful side effects of masturbation. However, excessive masturbation can harm
your relationships and everyday life.

The Addiction
Masturbation becomes the addiction when a person just watched or listen about it from
anywhere and starts doing it 7 times a week. Masturbation may have served as a pleasant form
of self- pleasuring, particularly when no partners were available. If masturbation becomes a
compulsive habit, then it is quite likely that you may be developing a sexual addiction.
As nowadays person is quite tilted towards masturbation as whenever they feel stressed
or bored or thinking about their partner or missing them they used to masturbate as an
alternative for that time. They used to do it in 7 or 9 times a week and as they don’t know how to
do it because of a lack of sex education in our country it leads to pornography addiction.
As in Chinese studies, it is found that in man the testosterone hormone gets high level
before masturbation and to reduce that level man used to masturbate. Similarly, in women, the
study said that the oxytocin hormone gets high level before masturbation and to reduce that
level women also did masturbate but they all don’t know that the hormone level will only
decrease if they mutually masturbate with each other and after orgasm, it will get lower. As I
stated before that there is a lack of sex education so because of hormonal changes whatever
they feel they used to find an alternative and that also leads to Pornography addiction.

How to overcome this addiction
If masturbation is becoming a problem then there are many ways a person can overcome
masturbating.

#1. Avoid Pornography

People who want to overcome this particular thing then they should avoid watching porn
movies, images, and websites. It is now very easy to access pornography in just a few seconds
however now people can try to limit their access to pornography by using filters on electronic
devices that block the sites and certain type of contents.

#2. Find a support group

When masturbation is fascinating, it might be due to various reasons. The reasons are:-
Relationship issues, restrictive views on sexuality. Having support from a trusted group of
people may be helpful for some people to overcome their habit of masturbating. If they a have a
group which support them will give them the space to express their concerns and develop
positive managing strategies.

#3. Stay active

It can be helpful for a person to find ways to occupy their time that does not trigger the desire to
masturbate. People can consider taking up a new hobby or learning a new skill, such as
learning a musical instrument or trying a new sport. Developing new goals can help a person
refocus their energy and find excitement and fulfilment in other things.

#4. Spend more time with others

Some people may masturbate because they feel lonely or have nothing else to fill their time
with. Spending time with others will not only keep a person occupied, but it might also redirect
their focus. People can meet their friends and family, take a class or join a gym to stay socially
engaged with others.

#3. You all can consider a new hobby such as playing your favourite sport.
#4. You should make casual meetings and dinner plans with your friends that will reduce
opportunities for masturbation.
#5. A healthy diet provides new motivation and a new focus for your energy and efforts.
#6. In your free time start reading novels and biography of your own choice that will reduce the
chance for masturbation.
#7. Whenever you are at home, then spend more time with your family members instead of
imagining about masturbate.
#8. Install porn blocking site software which will help you prevent yourself from accessing
pornography.

What will happen if you completely stop masturbation?

When the person’s masturbating time increases and come 2 to 3 times regularly in a day then
they feel that it will cause some harmful effects on their body or private parts so they decide to
stop masturbating.
There are after-effects/ harmful effects of stopping the masturbation:-

# First 2 to 3 days it shall be extremely normal. No odd feelings.


# After 4-5 the person shall feel ​extreme body tiredness followed by an unbeatable wish to 
masturbate. 
# More days and more irritable symptoms like: 
● Feeling the wish to masturbate in the exact specific times of activities he/ she used to 
masturbate i.e. at the time of using the washroom, sleeping time. 
● A strange unnatural sensation followed by an extremely odd feel.

● Nausea

● Looking at the opposite sex in an wish to have sex
