NAME OF ACTIVITIES: BRIGADA ESKWELA 2019
DATE: May 20-25, 2019
PARTICIPANTS: School Head, Teachers, Parents and other volunteers.
OBJECTIVES/ AGENDA:

 Aims to brings together all education stakeholders to participate and contribute their
time, effort, and resources to prepare public school facilities for the opening of the
school year

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ACTIVITIES:

 Setting-up the table and chairs

 Opening Program
 Entertain the parents who have concern on the process of enrollment
 Assign the parents to clean the area
 Accept enrollees for School Year 2019-2020.

NARRATIVE:

Brigada Eskwela is an annual activity of DepEd to make every public schools ready
before the official start of classes. It is done to bring the spirit of bayanihan when it comes
to school activities because educators believe that environment plays a big part in pupils’
learning.

Early morning of May 20 (Monday), the teachers of Sto. Nino Elementary School had
a short opening program. The presence of barangay council headed by Hon. Nerissa S.
Perez, parents and other volunteers were acknowledged. A prayer led by Ma’am Jessica
Rosquites followed by Philippine National Anthem conducted by Ma’am Letelyn Y. Vasquez
and a welcome message from our GPTA treasurer Mrs. Borinaga. A short orientation
about the mechanics of the 6-day Brigada Eskwela activity was given by Ma’am Elvira
Cabato. Finally the opening of the Brigada Eskwela was announced. The willing, ready and
able brigade included eager teachers, enthusiastic parents, excited students, and other
concern people of the community.

RESULTS/ OUTPUTS:
Through the overwhelming support of the volunteers, the classrooms are
restructured and spruced up. All school facilities are now in good condition. The school
surrounding is now free from tall grasses. Generally, the school is now ready for the school
opening. Evidences for the week long activity are attached herewith.
