Introduction:-

Purpose:

This document describes the software requirements and

specification (SRS) for Real time Vehicle tracking
system. The document is intended for the customer and
the developer (designers, testers, maintainers). It is
software which tells the real time location of a vehicle.

Scope:

The main objective of this project is to enable the

software to observe and track the vehicle and find out
vehicle movement. Some of the aim of the project
includes:-
 To enable the live location tracking of any
selected vehicle.
 When the vehicle is stolen, the location data
from tracking system can be used to find the
location and can be informed to police for
further action.
 To provide the real time location in the
customer’s phone.
Overall Description:-

Product Perspective:
The Real Time Vehicle Tracking System is a software
where the customers are able to track the real time
location of their vehicle. The customers has a unique
log-in Id which give permission to them to check the
location and view the past location of the vehicle.

User Interface:
The customer user interface should be intuitive, such
that 99.9% of all new customers are able understand the
usage of the software without any assistance.
Product Features:
The software should work 24/7 throughout the year.
The software identifies the customer by their login-Id
and shows the information. The software has to be
secure so that no other user can access to other’s
location.

Operating Environment:
 It should have the ability to provide location
anytime anywhere.
 It should have the ability to create a new account.
 It should have the ability to save the history of
locations.
 It should have the ability to keep the customers
updated about the new updates and features.
 It should have the ability to validate the user.
Requirements:-
Functional Requirements:
 The system must be able to show information to
user in real time.
 The system must be able to process the position
data received from the vehicle
 The system must be able to allow users retrieve
information from mobile device.
 The must be able to save record of the location
history of the vehicle

Non-Functional Requirements:
 The system should be able to increase the
efficiency and performance of tracking service.
 The system should allow user to access information
in anywhere with anytime.
User Requirements:
Anyone can use the software for their use as the main
objective of the software is to provide the real time
location to any customer of their vehicle. The users
must able to retrieve real time location anytime
anywhere. Users must be able to access tracking system
with mobile devices instead of using computer to
access. The system is providing real time vehicle
tracking system with mapping feature, which mean
users able to view the vehicle position with a map.
