Description of the Data

Graphitized carbon was impregnated with potassium carbonate, then heated in a stream of 15%
carbon dioxide in nitrogen. The data gives the amount of CO (carbon monoxide) desorbed. There
are 22 observations on two variables.

Variables:
Ratio :The initial potassium:carbon ratio (in percent)
Desorbe : The amount of carbon monoxide desorbed (in percent (moles per mole of
d C))

Adjusted R Square: It  measures the proportion of the variation in the dependent variable accounted
for by the explanatory variables. The Adjusted R Square value comes here as 0.970736. An R2 of 1.0
indicates that the regression line perfectly fits the data. Since the calculated value is very near to 1, the
regression line nearly fits the data which is quiet good .
Skewness: Skewness is a measure of symmetry, or more precisely, the lack of symmetry. For both the
variables the value of skewness is negative, that means the data lies to the left tail of the mean.

Kurtosis: Kurtosis is a measure of whether the data are peaked or flat relative to a normal distribution.
That is, data sets with high kurtosis tend to have a distinct peak near the mean, decline rather rapidly, and
have heavy tails. Data sets with low kurtosis tend to have a flat top near the mean rather than a sharp
peak. Here for both the variables the kurtosis is negative which indicates a relatively flat distribution.
