BIOMEDICAL INFORMATICS: Biomedical informatics (BMI) is the interdisciplinary
field that studies and pursues the effective uses of biomedical data, information, and
knowledge for scientific inquiry, problem solving, and decision making, motivated by
efforts to improve human health.

KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge is a familiarity, awareness, or understanding of someone


or something, such as facts, information, descriptions, or skills, which is acquired
through experience or education by perceiving, discovering, or learning.

SCIENCE: Branch of human knowledge constituted by the set of objective and


verifiable knowledge on a specific subject that are obtained through observation and
experimentation, the explanation of its principles and causes and the formulation
and verification of hypotheses and is characterized, in addition, by the use of an
adequate methodology for the object of study and the systematization of knowledge

COMPUTER SCIENCE: Computer science is the study of processes that interact


with data and that can be represented as data in the form of programs. It enables
the use of algorithms to manipulate, store, and communicate digital information.

STATISTICS: Statistics is a branch of mathematics dealing with data collection,


organization, analysis, interpretation and presentation. In applying statistics to, for
example, a scientific, industrial, or social problem, it is conventional to begin with
a statistical population or a statistical model process to be studied.

CONCEPTS: It is the formulation of an idea or an image through words. The term


concept has its origin in the Latin conceptus, from the verb concipere, which means
something conceived or formed in the mind, and is considered a cognitive unit of
meaning.

TOCAPTURE: Seize a person who is persecuted for being considered a criminal. ",
the police managed to capture the criminals" or Catch a person, animal or thing that
offers resistance. ", the fisherman caught two tunas"

MANIPULATION: Is the skillful handling, controlling or using of something or


someone. Whether it's the sculpture you made in art class or how you convinced
your friend to do your homework.

RESEARCH: refers to the process of intellectual and experimental nature that,


through a set of methods applied in a systematic way, pursues the purpose of
inquiring about an issue or issue, as well as to increase, expand or develop their
knowledge, be this of scientific interest, humanistic or technological.
