CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2016-010

AN ORDINANCE ABOLISHING ALL VACANT POSITIONS IN

THE OFFICE OF THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD OF
CABADBARAN CITY, AGUSAN DEL NORTE

WHEREAS, some existing and funded positions in the Office of the Sangguniang
Panlungsod have remained vacant for so long;

WHEREAS, in spite of the fact that these funded positions remained vacant for
so long a time, the Office of the Sangguniang Panlungsod functioned smoothly and
performed extraordinarily well, thereby manifesting the reality that the Office can do
away with the subject positions;

WHEREAS, in a letter dated February 2, 2015, Hon. Lilibeth A. Famacion,

Regional Director, DILG, CARAGA opined that the “SB (Sanggunian) may only abolish
[the] position in case the same are left vacant pursuant to DBM Circulars”;

WHEREAS, abolition of the vacant positions in the Office of the Sangguniang

Panlungsod would provide savings to the coffers of the city to finance important
projects and programs for the greater majority;

BE IT ORDAINED, by the 3rd Sangguniang Panlungsod of Cabadbaran City,

in its 7th Special Session, that:

SECTION 1. ABOLITION OF POSITIONS - The following vacant positions

are hereby abolished, to wit:

A. Administrative Officer III – Research, Information and Publication Division;

B. Administrative Officer III – Legislative and Plenary Affairs Divisions
C. Administrative Assistant III – Administrative Division
D. Administrative Aide IV – Research, Information and Publication Division
E. Administrative Aide IV – Legislative and Plenary Affairs Division
F. Administrative Officer II (Legislative Coordinator) – SG 11
G. Administrative Officer II (Legislative Coordinator) – SG 11
H. Administrative Officer II (Legislative Coordinator) – SG 11
I. Administrative Officer II (Legislative Coordinator) – SG 11
J. Administrative Officer II (Legislative Coordinator) – SG 11

SECTION 2. REPEALING CLAUSE – (a) City Ordinance No. 2014-024 is

hereby repealed.

(b) All ordinances, executive orders, and/or administrative regulations and

issuances or part or parts thereof which are inconsistent with the provisions of this
Ordinance are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.

SECTION 3. EFFECTIVITY - This Ordinance shall take effect immediately

upon approval.
