Position: Staff Café Commis I

Location: Komandoo Island Resort & Spa, Lhaviyani Atoll, Maldives

Summary of Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Commis I to manage our staff kitchen and cafeteria with excellent guest service.

Responsibilities and duties for this position shall include, but not be limited to, the following areas and activities:
• Supports the Chef De Partie in directing and organizing the activities of the Kitchen which includes a variety of
responsibilities such as establishing and maintaining the required culinary standards. Insuring the proper use
and maintenance of kitchen equipment
• Inspect all the coolers and freezers ensuring that the storage procedures are being followed at all times
• Ensure a full hand-over between the AM and PM shift
• Enforce strict health and hygiene standards
• Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation

Requirements:
• Proven experience in similar position
• Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
• Knowledge of best cooking practices, dynamic and highly motivated
• Ability to work in less or without supervision
• hotel school graduate or possess a similar level of education
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and other languages will be added advantage
