Menstrual Disorders

Moon governs mind and emotions. It also relates to functions of uterus, ovaries. Mars signifies
blood, and take up the responsibility of governing the quantity of blood, quality, smooth and
easy flow. Any affliction to Moon or Mars in a female chart will cause disturbances and upsets,
the appropriate time of start of menses and during the period upto menopause. Moon is posed
to control actual flow, duration and cycle of menses

 A woman born on Tuesday, Saturday or Sunday in Bhadra Tithis I.e 2nd, 7th and 12th Tithis
and in constellation of Aslesha, Krittika and Shatbisha will have menstrual disorders
 In a female horoscope if the native has one benefic and one malefic planet in the ascendant

The Moon which controls the actual flow of menses, quantity and duration is 8th lord and is badly
afflicted being posited on the Rahu-Ketu axis. Saturn (R) is placed in Cancer, the sign of the Moon,
the dispositor of the Moon is placed in the sign of the Saturn. Mars which controls the blood is
aspected by Rahu which is in the sign of Mars

In Navamsha chart, Moon is associated with Jupiter, the lord of the 6th and is aspected by Venus,
the lord of the 8th, Mars is afflicted by Rahu

In Dreshkana, Saturn (R) being lord of the 6th and 7th is posited in the 8th and aspects Venus. The
Moon in the 7th is aspected by Sun
This has resulted in delay in puberty and menses stated as late as at the age of 19. Later on she
had less flow of menses for shorter periods of 2/3 days. She used to have painful menstrual
periods associated with vomiting and fainting and this continued till menses.
