was living in a shelter they wanted to escape in order to find his or her real home or calling. This is exactly what happens between the shelters on this earth and God’s shelter. Today, let’s take a look at who God is and how His shelter is different from the others.
Before we get into God’s character, we need
to realize that the real story of Genesis is that God takes 7 days to create our world as we know it, and afterward, Adam and Eve rebelled against God due to interaction with Satan, the dragon, for the fruit of fornication, who is described as the serpent and the tree.
Afterward, God made men who would
precede Jesus and show different parts of who Jesus was before He came. When He came, Jesus would become the greater version of all the men God had made, including Adam.
Though Adam’s curse caused the devil to
lose his wings and become a leviathan of the sea and marine spirits to also exist there, Jesus broke sin’s curse through His death on the cross and His resurrection on the third day. Let’s get started on revealing the mystery of God’s character!
Many attributes are commonly associated
with God, such as gentle, patient and forgiving, but have you ever considered that He is wise, honest, prayerful, faithful, empathetic, perfectly righteous and somewhat humorous?
Some names include: King of kings and
Lord of lords, the I Am, the Living and Everlasting God, Redeemer of Isreal, the Judge, the Word, the Son of God, the Son of man and Emmanuel.
Open up to 2 Corinthians 1: 3-4 and 7-8.
Here, Paul is speaking and he does a couple things. First, he gives glory to God for all the good things He’s done. Then he shares his heart with God and the rest of the believers.
I tend to consider Paul as the triune God
talking, who brings glory to each person/being, now that Paul isn’t on Earth anymore. He also shares His heart through His believers, His Word and sometimes in media and technology to reach the lost.
Now, skip back to 1 Corinthians 13. These
are all the things that go along with gentleness, patience, forgiveness, wisdom, prayer, honesty, empathy, righteousness and authenticity. But what is it really all about? It’s about halting the process of feeding off the Beast system and the Marine Kingdom in order to defeat the Beast(flesh) inside of you, while replacing it with Jesus’ beauty, as you rest in Him.
Now how does God’s shelter differ from the
others?
1.His shelter is divine
2.His shelter is eternal-Deuteronomy 33:27 3.His shelter promotes healing, renewal of mind and comfort-Isaiah 40:31 4.His shelter encourages right living-Psalm 34:17-18 5.His shelter will give you the victory in your battles-Isaiah 54:17 6.His shelter gives you light to be bright- Numbers 6:24-26 7.His shelter renews our love for him-Psalm 68:4-5, Isaiah 32:2
Today we learned that God is the
embodiment of perfect, unconditional love through His son Jesus Christ, which shows through from beginning to end of the Bible. This shelter contrasted to others is key to recovery, right living, victory in battles, light, love, God’s divine personality and eternal plan of glory.
One of the movies that have been made and
eventually remade to be more feminist is “Annie.” The first time I saw it, out of empathy and compassion for her, I wanted to help Annie escape from the pretenders in their bid for money into the arms of her adopted family, but once it was over and they were defeated, I had confidence that she would be ok.
Now that we know who God is and how His
shelter is different from the others, I encourage you to model Him and that you request that others model you as you model Him.
