Source of Water:

 Water from PMC was the source of water for the oorani in the past. If the inlet channel is restored the oorani can be filled. If not, storm
water from the catchment has to be tapped.

Description:

 0.32.50 Hectares. The oorani is still in function. Local communities utilise this oorani for their
domestic and livestock demands. The oorani falls under watershed No. 4A2A4 a1b4c.

Source of Water:

 Water from PMC and drains from the irrigated agriculture field are the sources of water for the
oorani.

Description:
 1.41 Hectares. The corporation recently cleared Prosopis and other weeds inside the oorani . There
were 4 number of Bore wells which belongs to Madurai corporation. The oorani falls under watershed
No. 4A1D5 b2c4f
Source of Water:
 water from the irrigation canal was the source before 20 years but it is encroached.
