DISCUSSION

Excess Of The Book

1. The main book give an introduction about waves. Starting from what is wave, wave
characteristics, and anything that influences the wave. Where in this book it is said that
waves are disturbances which propagate (move) through a medium. Waves can be
viewed as a transfer energy rather than the movement of a particle. While the comparison
book is not given an introduction about waves. the direct comparison book gives the
formula of the basic wave formula.
2. The main book explains the type waves in detail, namely transverse waves and
longitudinal waves while the comparison book does not convey any type of wave.
3. The main book explains the nature of the waves there are 4 that can be refracted,
reflected, deflected and given interference. While in the comparison book none of the
wave properties are explained.
4. The main book has been explained how to decrease the formula of the calculation
formula of a wave while in the comparison book there is no explanation how to decrease
the formulas, only convey the formula directly without any explanation of the formula.

Weakness Of The Book

1. The main book has explained in detail the basic wave formulas but there are no examples
of questions that can be understood by readers while the comparison book has sample
problems in each of the formulas presented in the book. making it easier for readers to
understand the lesson about wave.
2. The main book does not explain stationary waves while in the comparison book there is
a detailed explanation of stationary waves up to the example of waves on a string or
string.
3. The main book not explain about the interference waves which is explained in the
comparison book that interference occurs due to superposition of waves the resultant
displacement being the sum of the separate displacements of the individual wavemotion.
