PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT:
▪ Tech Career Development Programming – Created and presented programming for exploring career paths in
the technology industry. Topics include understanding the tech recruiter ecosystem, job search strategies, and
interview strategies for technical roles allowing for successful technical internship/job outcomes.
▪ Career Design Programming – Developed and presented workshops on “Exploring Your Career Personality
Type” (Holland’s codes), enabling students to choose a major or career path.
Graduate Assistant, Pedro Pires Institute for Cape Verdean Studies (Spring 2018)
Provided local and global community engagement, event coordination, and academic collaboration for the world’s
only academic institute for Cape Verdean Studies.
▪ Social Media Management – Monitored and created content for the institute’s Facebook page. Volunteered to
create and manage a Twitter account for further local and global community outreach. Increased engagement and
grew followers by posting a diverse set of Cape Verdean culture topics researched using Hootsuite.
▪ Community Engagement – Reached out via email, social media, phone to local academic institutions, communities,
and press to promote the institute’s annual global academic conference.

▪ Academic Conference Coordination – Wrote two-day conference program and coordinated presenters’
