Dear Sir / Madam:

Greetings of Peace!

I am Nicole Joyce U. Ty, a second-year Medical Technology student of the University of Santo Tomas
applying for the “Handog ng Safeguard: Medtechs ng Kinabukasan” Scholarship Program.

I would like to start by expressing my sincerest gratitude to Safeguard and PAMET for offering such a
gracious scholarship. It is a great honor for me, to be given the opportunity to apply for this prestigious
program. I am fully aware of the standards that serve as the basis for selection and so it is humbling to even
be part of the initial phase.

I applied for this scholarship because I truly want to lessen the financial burden that my parents are
carrying in order to support my education. I believe that I possess the necessary skills in terms of academics
to fulfill the requirements of this program. Ever since I was in junior high school I have been consistently
an academic scholar who is able to successfully comply with the conditions required of me. I graduated as
the Salutatorian of my junior high school batch and maintained first honors in my senior high school years.
Moreover, I became the Dean’s Lister number 1 for the Department of Medical Technology in my first
semester in the University of Santo Tomas.

Medical Technology is a profession that I earnestly want to pursue in the future. The entire program has
ignited a burning passion within me to serve in the country’s healthcare field. In line with this, to be granted
this scholarship will truly help secure my future of becoming a medical technologist. And so I humbly
request that you peruse and consider my application.
