Academic Media Products (Year 2004 – 2006):
Video: Directed a documentary, ‘Melodious Memoirs’ (February 2006 till January 2006) on a Qawwal family
of Nizamuddin Basti. The film was screened at Karachi Film Festival 2006. It was produced by AJK MCRC.
Conceptualized and shot a music video on the song, ‘Chhaap Tilak’, sung by Abida Parveen as a part of college
curriculum. Directed a 10 minutes live studio based production with a three-camera setup. A musical program
with Ustaad Zameer Ahmed on Thumri and Ghazal gayaki as a part of Hindustani classical tradition. Directed,
scripted and shot an interview with the newsreader, Salma Sultan. Director/Actor (January 2006) Acted in a
film, ‘Mohalla’as a part of the IIT Film festival. Film won the first prize. Film: Shot 100 feet film continuity
exercise shot on Bolex H-16. Directed and shot 200 feet film entitled ‘Dashte Tanhai Mein’ sync-sound
exercise shot on Arriflex 16 BL & SR 2. Photography: Directed/Edited a 10 minute audio visual, ‘None’ on
the transgender community along with a 3 minute audio visual, an adaptation of Robert Browning’s dramatic
monologue ‘Porphyria’s Lover’.
