Making development happen
A
You bring up the idea of CPD one day at a meeting, and then mention it every now and then. You wait for the process to
start off organically.
B
You speak to a number of colleagues and try to gain support for the idea of regular CPD. Then you present a detailed
proposal to everyone.
C
You approach one colleague and offer to work together. Then you involve more colleagues as they become interested in
what you are doing.
D
You ask the trainers at a local training institution to organise a formal workshop on CPD and hope this will motivate your
colleagues to join in with your activities.
E
You create a CPD school policy and to have monthly staff meetings when teachers report back on what they area doing for
their professional development.
