N and Q = 25 N, determine the magnitude and direction of their resultant.

Q2. A block of weight W is suspended from a 250 mm long cord and two springs of which the 12
unstretched lengths are 225mm. Knowing that the constants of the spring kAB=0.9 N/cm and
kAD=0.3 N/cm, determine (a) the tension in the cord , (b) the weight of the block.
