CHAPTER 1

OBJECTIVE:

There are several advantages of employing a Waste

management System system for urban planners, business owners

and Municipal. They offer convenience for Municipal

corporation.

Water supply to different wards or areas is one of the most

important activities for the municipal corporations. The current

system of water supply is un-useful and can cost a major waste of

water as the people don't get the information of water supply is

started. The main purpose to design this application is providing

an environment where people will know the information about

started water supply. In metropolitan cities timing of garbage

collector van in different wards are main duty for Municipal

Corporation. The necessity of designing this application is that let

the people know supply is started and they will be ready to store

water and they also known details about garbage collector vans

were coming todays or not. The disadvantage of current system is

xii
that which is irregular and not for certain period of time. A

normal user may login and get the all information about water

supply timing and all municipal corporations’ updates. This

Application will provide user information about their area and a

user that who is unknown to that area will get information about

water supply, garbage collection van time in this Android

Application. As per the growing demands of wireless

communication there is enormous new technologies participating

to make sophisticated environment for an end user. In a recent

survey of International Telecommunication Union (ITU) it was

found that the number of mobile phone subscribers exceeds seven

billion subscriptions at the end of 2014 using more than 10 to 15

Internet utility apps which is more than the entire population of

planet.

II. RELATED WORK

The most of the people are using Android smartphones devices.
Which will to deliver wireless Internet access be useful for
surrounded our home, offices, schools, and some public places
also. Water is an essential resource for all life on the planet. Of
the remaining one percent, a fifth is in remote, inaccessible areas
xiii
and much seasonal rainfall in monsoonal deluges and floods
cannot easily be used. As time advances, water is becoming
scarcer and having access to clean, safe, drinking water is limited
among countries. At present only about 0.08 percent of all the
world’s fresh water is exploited by mankind in ever increasing
demand for sanitation, drinking, manufacturing, leisure and
agriculture. Due to the small percentage of water remaining,
optimising the fresh water we have left from natural resources has
been a continuous difficulty in several locations worldwide. Much
effort in water resource management is directed at optimising the
use of water and in minimising the environmental impact of water
use on the natural environment. The observation of water as an
integral part of the ecosystem is based on integrated water
resource management, where the quantity and quality of the
ecosystem help to determine the nature of the natural resources.
Successful management of any resources requires accurate
knowledge of the resource available, the uses to which it may be
put, the competing demands for the resource, measures to and
processes to evaluate the significance and worth of competing
demands and mechanisms to translate policy decisions into
actions on the ground.

xiv
EXISTING SYSTEM:
The existing system work manually. The existing system has got
lot of intricacies within itself and need lot of human effort and
paper works. All above the data need to be maintained on ledgers
and maintaining this is a tedious and risky process. As the
transactions increases, so the data too. So the task of maintaining
them increases exponentially. To view a data may need lot of
paper to be searched.
Some of the negative aspects of the existing system are as
follows:
1) Time Consuming:
There is a lot of time consumes in the park, whenever
we park manually than because of many customers with his/
her different purpose, than we wait for our turn sometimes
30-40 min.

2) Reliability:
This parking system is not fully reliable whenever the
computer system is create a problem and not work properly
than sometime our data is damaged or lost.

xv
3) Man Power:
4) Less Accurate:
this system is not fully accurate, because sometime computrised
system create a problem in working, than the computer system
also give us wrong results.
To overcome these, the proposed system has been
suggested.

xvi
PROPOSED SYSTEM:
Waste management System System is a mechanical, electrical, software system

used to park car without assistance of a human being. AutoMotion Parking

Systems introduces the first fully automated Waste management Systems in

Meerut City providing the easiest, fastest and safest way to park available, while

doubling the number of parking spaces compared to conventional parking. In this

system, Garbage Vehicle enters through garage door, parks the vehicle on a

pallet inside an “entry and exit room”. He swipes his RF smart card and walks

away. Pick the garbage automaticall.

Need for system development:

In conventional Garbage management system driver to go home to home to

collect garbage here in our system garbage is collected from smart phone

intimation on mobile of driver

REQUIREMENTS:
• Functional Requirements
 Non- Functional Requirements
 System Requirments

Functional requirements:
 User basic graphical tools such as
shapes,objects,brushes,colourtools,eraseretc

 Should allow free hand drawing, object shapes such as

circle,ellipse,rectangle,polygon.

 Should allow the usage of different colors in the form

of brushes,shapes,curves.

 Manage the picture with tools such as

pencil,airbrush,clear all.

Non-Functional requirements:

 Must provide the program in vivid colours and format.

 Should have adaptability to allow usage of single module
at a time.
 Must enable faster processing of operations when a
module is selected.
System Requirments:
xviii
Hardware requirements:
Processor: Dual Core
RAM: 2ghz required
HARD DISK: 500GB required
Printer: Any compatible printer

Software requirements:
JDK 1.5
MYSQL
JAVA being the platform independent language to generate the
user-friendly Software system is used as Front-end system and
MYSQL as Back-end database system, this will facilitate user in
operating the system successfully.
A platform is the hardware or software environment in which a
program runs. We've already mentioned some of the most popular
platforms like Windows 2000/XP, Linux, Solaris, and Mac OS.
Most platforms can be described as a combination of the
operating system and hardware. The Java platform differs from
most other platforms in that it's a software-only platform that runs
on top of other hardware-based platforms.

The Java platform has two components:

 The Java Virtual Machine (Java VM)

 The Java Application Programming Interface (Java API)

MODULES IN SYSTEM:

There are seven modules in this System::

1). Login Module
2). Register Module
3). Transaction Module
4). Create File Module
5). Open Account Module
6). Search Module
7). Report Module

• Create File:
Selecting this creates a new file for the user by accepting
input such as account number, name and amount .
• Open account:
Opens a new account for the user by
accepting input such as account number, name and
minimum balance
• Search:
Enables to search for the details of the given account
number. Displays only one account detail at a time.
• Report:
Displays the list of all account & Details comprising
of account number, name and balance amount .

xxi
SCREEN SHOTS:

xxii
xxiii
ADVANTAGES OF SYSTEM:

• Proposed system enables Parking to find out the particular

Account.
• This system also helps to know about the deposit and
withdraw amount for particular person.
• This system have feature to search customer record by two
option one is acc_number and second is by customer name
and also feature to update, delete account.
• In this system we also store employee record and search,
modify, delete operations also occurs.
• Reduction of errors and viruses due to non requirement of
the internet.
• This system have feature to see the account detail according
to date.
• Updating of data is easy in computerized system.

xxiv
LIMITATIONS OF THE PROJECT:

 We have a limitation in this system, i.e. this system is not

link to networking.

xxv
FUTURE SCOPE:

In the future more software companies will hire this software

program because now a days the need for the speed in the day-to-
day life has become essential. As competition increases,
companies by considering old version, they develop more
efficient versions for individual success.
In future we can make a link of this project with networking. We
can also convert this project in Hibernate. Hibernate is a
framework. It storage large amount of database.
In future we can also add the facility to change the password and
recovery the forgotten password..

xxvi
DATA DICTIONARY:
Data dictionary is the collection of complete data is used in some
process. It can also to be called the whole databases that are used
in the project. Data is stored in different data bases. Database is a
collection of different table and tables further are collection of
records in which each record is made up of primary unit called
fields’ data fields are the entity where the information can be
stored and accessed as and when required.
