Welcome to Miss Navarro’s 3rd Grade Class

Dear Parents and Guardians,

My name is Miss Navarro and I am looking forward to getting to
know your children in this upcoming year. This is my first-year teaching
since I graduated Raritan Valley Community College and I could not be
more thrilled to get things started.
We are going to be working on many different things including
improving our writing skills and learning more about weather patterns.
While I know each student has different learning strengths, there is no
doubt in my mind that they will exceed my expectations. I know they
are all capable of reaching great heights.
I always want to keep parents involved with what is happening in
their child’s classroom so I will be sending out a monthly “newsletter”
with all of the things the students have learned and accomplished at
school. Keep an eye out in your email for those!
Furthermore, if there is anything I should know to help instruct
your child successfully do not hesitate to contact me!

To my Incoming Students,
I am thrilled to meet all of you and hear about your awesome
summer adventures! I hope you are all as excited for this year as I am.
We are going to have lots of fun! Here are a few quick facts about me
before we start our first day:

• I love watching movies and binge-watching tv shows
• I enjoy reading, kayaking, and hanging out with my friends
• I was born in Costa Rica, but I have been living in Bound Brook, NJ
for 18 years

In order for the year to run smoothly, there are a few things that your
child needs to bring with them on the first day of school. Please keep in
mind that some of these items may need to be restocked at some point in
the year. If there are any issues obtaining these items, please let me know
so we can work something out!

Additional Information:
Snacks and Allergies- We do have snack time during our school day and
you are welcome to pack your child something for that portion of the
class. Please be aware that some students in the classroom may be
allergic to certain foods. With that in mind, avoid sending your child
with snacks that contain tree nuts. If I am aware of other allergies
present in the classroom, I will make sure to alert you straightaway.
Birthdays- Notify me beforehand if you would like to do a class party.
Any events will take place within the last 30-40 mins of the school day.
