The Giant Panda

The giant panda is a well-known species that extinct by habitat loss. Giant
panda is from southwestern China. It is only 1,600 left. Since 1984, the giant
panda includes endangered species because some people hunt it.
China has one of the most populated countries in the world. People cut down
forests for farms and communities, including the bamboo forests. Pandas
sometimes live in small islands of bamboo surrounded by houses and highways.
When bamboos die, and the pandas have to look forward for a new bamboo forest
for their meal.
The giant panda eats bamboo. There is so little nutrition in bamboo that
they have to eat for more than 14 hours a day to get the calories they need. They
eat 13 to 36 kilograms of bamboo a day. If there is no bamboo forest, all pandas
will die.
