platform
Backlight options direct accessing could be done by entering the Function Menu through FUN+B
when weighing.
Manual zero:
Whenever the weight displayed does not correspond with that envisaged (for
example, if we consider there is no weight on the platform and the display does not show
a zero), we can make a manual zero using the key B.
Remember that the equipment provides the automatic zero option when starting up
(Programming Menu).
When there is a weight on the platform, the display will reliably show the weight
variation. The speed will depend on the values of the filters of the Programming Menu:
8
As soon as the weight is stabilised, this will be displayed, along with the stability
LED.
The display will generally carry out all the actions once the
weight on the platform is stable.
Rapid tare:
The T key can be used to carry out a tare of the weight found on the platform. In
this way, the NET LED will be displayed. This indicates that there is a completed tare.
As of this moment, we can add more weight to the platform, seeing at all times the
net weight, and tare a new weight with the same key:
9
Gross weight/net weight:
Whenever required, we can switch between the net weight and the gross weight to
display on the central display. This is carried out with the B key, which will oscillate
whenever there is a completed tare. In order to show that the weight being displayed
corresponds to the gross weight, analogue LED B will be enabled in the display:
Whenever the total weight is withdrawn from the platform, the tare is always
automatically disabled:
Tare lock:
If you do not want the tare to be disabled (and lose its value), press the T key
twice once the weight to tare is stable on the platform. The first time it is pressed, the
weight will be tared. The second time it is pressed, the tare will be locked, activating the
corresponding LED <T>. As of this moment, the T key oscillates between both states
(tare and locked tare):
In this way, if the weight is removed from the platform, this will be displayed as
negative. For example, when removing the weight from the platform:
10
Manual tare
If we wish to enter a tare manually, without leaving the weighing state, press, and
keep pressed down, the keys FUN+T. In this manner, we will leave the state and the
display will enter data standby mode:
The alphanumeric keypad can be used to enter the required tare value. The display
will automatically tare, lock the tare, and return to weighing state:
In this case, the T key does not oscillate between tare and locked tare, but rather
we can once again tare the weight, pressing it when required. As of this point, its
functions will be restricted to the tare lock section.
If you wish to totalise, print out a ticket and/or send serial data via RS232, use the
ENT key.
Whenever no Functions Menu option is enabled, the procedure to use this function
is as follows. Otherwise, see the section Functions Menu of this manual.
Accumulate:
We therefore require successive weighings. Place the first weight on the container:
11
At any moment we can accumulate more weight by pressing ENT, although the
system will only run the process once stability is achieved, momentarily displaying the
accumulation literals, the number of accumulated weighings, and then the weight subtotal
so far:
At the same time, if the equipment is connected to a printer, and the weighing code
programmed in the Functions Menu is 0 (for the current example), the printing of the
corresponding ticket will have started:
Should the S protocol be configured (by defect, and with display number 0), the
following characteristics will have been sent with a carriage return at the end
(corresponding to the net weight):
12
+ 0.216
If this is not the case, the ENT key will not carry out any action.
Totalise:
When you wish to conclude and totalise the process, press the FUN+ENT keys
down at the same time, displaying the total number of weighings and the total weight,
totalised alternately:
For greater ease-of-use, the equipment has another level of automation. The
display will act in accordance with the RS232 port connection (configured in the
Programming Menu):
-Connected to PC: The display will alternate, waiting for any key to be
pressed in order to return to the weighing state.
At the same time, if the equipment is connected to a printer, the ticket will finish
automatically, turning out as shown:
13
NOTE -Extended Accumulation-: The equipment works with up to 48 bits and
counters of 24 bits, thus allowing us to carry out an excessively high number of
accumulations, both of weight and of pieces.
Piece counter
In order to resolve and count the number of pieces on the platform, proceed as follows:
Step 1 allows the display to determine the unit weight of each piece (the metrological LED will
be enabled since the system filters are not used in the piece counter):
14
In this manner, enter the Functions Menu option and set the number of pieces on the platform.
Finally, go to the piece counter option within the same menu, in order to use the display as a piece
counter (the metrological LED will be shown, indicating that the system filters are not used in this case):
As with ordinary weighing, we can accumulate and totalise different piece number calculations.
Use ENT to accumulate. Use FUN+ENT to totalise and leave this function. The results will be obtained
via a printer ticket, similar to the one shown below:
NOTE: The Extended Accumulation will provide a very high number of successive
accumulations (See section “Extended Accumulation and Totalisation of Weighings").
Complete ticket
15
- Heading of 3x40 characters (requires PC transfer programme)
- Date and time (requires optional clock)
- Ticket number (TICKET value must be different to 0)
- Foot of 2x40 characters (requires programme for transfer to PC)
- Finalisation blank lines (in accordance with Programming Menu)
Battery
At any time, whenever the equipment is battery-operated and this is below the
correct threshold value, the screen will show:
Automatically, the display illumination will be reduced to the minimum and the
display will be configured to go off after 5 minutes of non-activity.
As a precaution, if low battery is detected when starting up, the display will not
come on, showing first the above-mentioned literals.

Quick instructions
If you wish to enable any of the additional options such as:
‐ Discharge option through sixth relay
‐ Threshold weight
‐ Discharge zone
‐ Stocks option (and edit)
These can be enabled when required using the General Menu.
To see, modify and/or configure any of the programme parameters exhaustively, access
the General Menu.
A) It is the first time the display comes on, or the factory defaults have been restored.
The stocks option and the discharge option through the sixth relay
are disabled, and hence the threshold weight and the discharge zone
are at 0Kg. Stocks and totals are also at 0Kg.
B) The dosage was carried out previously, and the equipment continues to have the dosa-6
option enabled:
B.1.) If we wish to use the dose of the previous formula used:
-Press ENT/BUTTON to start operation.
B.2) If we wish to enter a new formula in the database:
-Either:
-F3 to configure a new formula.
-F2 to select a formula in the database.
-Press ENT/BUTTON to start operation.
F3 ‐> Configuration of a new formula (EDI.FOR):
‐Weight product dosage 1.
‐Weight product dosage 2.
‐Weight product dosage 3.
‐Weight product dosage 4.
‐Weight product dosage 5.
‐Weight product dosage 6 (if discharge is enabled, the programme will not take this parameter into
account)
‐Waiting time after each product dosage .*
‐Formula code.
(*) This time shall be the same for the discharge zone weight tare waiting.
19
ACTIVATING THE PROGRAMME OPTION
1. Start the display in programme mode.
2. Select options -> dosa-6 -> Yes, and save with ENT.
3. Reset display.
b. We can enable/disable the stocks activation option. In this case, the programme will
update these after the dosage of each product. Should we not have sufficient stock
as to carry out a product dosage (desired weight greater than the stock itself), the
programme will indicate error when starting up.
c. With ENT we can enable/disable (Yes/No) the discharge option using the 6th relay.
In this case, the programme will use the said relay to discharge the total dosage
weight, until the discharge zone weight is achieved. In this manner, neither the total
nor the stock of product 6 will be affected.
d. The numerical keypad can be used to configure the discharge zone weight. If the
discharge has been programmed, this will be detained upon detecting that the
weight on the platform is equal to or less than the discharge zone weight.
20
e. The numerical keypad can be used to configure the threshold weight. When starting
up a dosage operation, the weight on the platform must reach the threshold weight.
In this case, this will be automatically tared once the programmable waiting time is
complete, and the dosage will start.
f. STOCK1..6: The numerical keypad can be used to configure the stocks of products 1
to 6.
g. TO.ER.PR: Use ENT to print the total dosage weights of the 6 products. Keeping the
FUN key pressed down whilst pressing ENT will delete the totals after printing.
i. EDI.FOR (F3): We can configure the parameters of a new formula, which will be
automatically entered in the database (See section Configuring A New Formula). The
said parameters are:
i. PROD. 1: Weight for dosage of product 1.
ii. PROD. 2: Weight for dosage of product 2.
iii. PROD. 3: Weight for dosage of product 3.
iv. PROD. 4: Weight for dosage of product 4.
v. PROD. 5: Weight for dosage of product 5.
vi. PROD. 6: Weight for dosage of product 6.
vii. TIEMPO: Wait in seconds for the programme to complete.
viii. COD.FOR: Identification code of the formula.
21
j. SEL.FOR (F2): Access the submenu to load an existing formula from the database.
(See section Selecting An Existing Formula).
k. TOTAL1..6 (F1): The total dosage weights are shown for each product so far
l. STOCK1..6: The updated stocks are shown for each product. The numerical keypad
can be used to modify and change.
2. Once the desired parameters have been set, leave any menu by pressing FUN in order to go
back through as many levels as necessary.
3. When the weight appears on the platform, the system will be ready to start a dosage.
c. Enter the identification code of the formula. This will allow us to search for and load
the formula instantaneously. (See section Selecting An Existing Formula).
2. Once all the parameters have been entered, the formula will be saved and instantaneously
loaded in the equipment in order to carry out the dosages immediately.
(*) This time will be the same for the wait after reaching the threshold weight and the wait after the
dosage of each product, in order to facilitate the configuration of the system.
22
SELECTING AN EXISTING FORMULA
Enter the submenu SEL.FOR.
1. Navigate through the formula database:
DOSAGES
1. Place the container on the platform.*
(*) The programme allows us to work freely whilst not carrying out a dosage. Hence we can use the
equipment for simple tasks such as taring and displaying net/gross weight, and carrying out tasks
prior to the positioning of the definitive container. It must be remembered that the threshold weight
will be detected as of the weight value shown on screen, when starting operation.
2. Start the dosage process with ENT. If there are no errors (sufficient stocks, if enabled, and
loaded formula), marcha (operation) will be displayed:
23
a. At this moment, the equipment will be waiting to reach the programmed threshold
weight, before starting the dosage. (In this example: 0.178 kg). When it is reached,
a sound will be made. (If the threshold weight was equal to or less than 0.170 kg,
the programme will have passed directly to point 2.b).
b. Following the time programmed in the formula which is in progress, the equipment
will carry out the tare of the weight on the platform, and start the dosage itself,
giving out a sound. The tare will be shown very briefly, disappearing finally along
with marcha.
3. Each relay will be activated sequentially, with the dosage of the weight of each programmed
product.
a. When the product weight exceeds the programmed dosage weight, the product and
weight will be printed automatically, waiting for the programmed time, until the tare
is carried out, then preparing the dosage for the next product.
4. When it is the turn of the 6th relay, in the event of enabled discharge, detection will
take place when entering the discharge zone, thus finalising the dosage process.
5. Finally, the total dosage weight of all the products and the number of dosage products will
be displayed on screen and printed out.
24
DOSAGE HALT
• We can halt the dosage at any moment by using ENT:

In the General Menu, select:
• TO.BO.IM to print/delete the totals.
25
• STOC.IM to print the stocks.
Notes to consider
• For safety reasons, we cannot enter the menu whilst there is operation and we are not
waiting for the initial threshold weight. We should halt if required.
• If we change the original scale in which the formulae were saved, the totals, stocks and
formulae, will be suitably affected (displacing the decimal point and rounding off to the
closest weight fraction).

PROGRAMME MODES
Mode 0: Pass – no pass
The relays will be activated independently, in accordance with their programming. If the
current weight is below the limits of any relay, this will be enabled.
29
Mode 2: Dosage by steps with discharge
Relays 1 (dosage), 2 (section pulse), or 3 (discharge) will be activated, depending on
the weight on the scale at each moment.
The values to which this programme mode will respond will be:
-Lower limits of relays 1 to 5: Dosage sections in ascending order. In order to
remove any section, place it in 0.
-Lower limit of relay 6: Weight for dosage.
Relay 1 will be activated for dosage, even in discharge. Every time the weight exceeds each
section, a pulse will be sent by relay 2, carrying on with the dosage of the next section.
When the programmed weight reaches the lower limit of relay 6, discharge will take place
(relay 3 activated).
Whenever section 1 is programmed at 0,400 kg and the dosage weight at 2,500 kg:
30
b. Top limit: Weight register to be used to detect the maximum or upper threshold, used in
line with the selected programme mode:
Notes to consider
• The user shall be responsible for coherently programming the minimum and maximum
values of each relay as such.
• Mode 2: Remember that the values for the lower limits of relays 1 to 5 should be made in
ascending order.

PROGRAMMING A FORMULA
1. Choose the formula to work with in the menu.
2. If not configured, products programming should be made:
a. Total weight of the product to dosage:
c. Weight fraction it considers in the way between the container product and the
weighing platform. Both relays (coarse and fine) will be disabled when coming the
programmed queue weight before the total. If dynamic queue adjust is disabled, this
value will be unmodified:
34
CONFIGURING THE DOSAGE CYCLES
1. If normal dosage is desired, by manual totalising of the subsequent dosages (remember:
FUN+ENT), a value of 0 should be set:
2. When a greater than 0 value is set, it will automaticly totalize the dosages when this
number of cycles are done.
3. If it desires the cycles start automaticly when finalising the last one, set:
DOSAGING
1. Start or stop the dosage process through ENT or external IN.
2. For example, if autotare were activated, and only 1 product programmed (both realys will
always be enabled at start):
4. If stability is set, when detection, it will enter in discharge of the products state (tare was
1.3 kg):
35
5. If the weight is lower than the programmed weight, and the feedback was enabled, the fine
relay will be enabled again (and so on until weight indication goes beyond the programmed
weight). If weight errors (existing in this case only above the programmed) already persist,
the dynamic queue adjust may be suitable in order to minimize this eventual error.
TICKET EXAMPLE
If a printer is connected to the indicator (and it has been correctly configured), the ticket
will be printed automaticly.
For example, 2 cycles were programmed, dynamic queue adjust enabled (see second
product correction, ticket header and bottom configured by PC, and the clock additional:
Notes to consider
• Error will be shoot when start has been petitioned and implies:
o Dosaging 0 kg products (both).
o Dosaging a fine weight greater than the total product weight.
o The queue is greater than the total product weight.
• It’s not possible to enter the menu if the dosasge state is turned up.
