I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, 100% of the students with at least 75% level of proficiency should
be able to:
a) Identify different kind of sports as to Individual, Dual and Team Sports;
b) Appreciate the history, rules, technical and tactical needed in participating to any
kind of sports through sharing their insights; and
c) Apply safety measures in playing games or sports.
Performance Standards: The learner leads sports events with proficiency and confidence
resulting in independent pursuit and in influencing others positively
III. Procedure:
A. Routinary Activities
1. Prayer
2. Greetings
3. Attendance
4. Monitoring heartbeat
5. Warm-up exercise
B. Motivation:
The teacher integrates technology (ICT integration) to reveal the lesson. The teacher
gives praise or give positive feedback to the learner's answers appropriately based to the
level of their response.
C. Lesson proper:
Lecture-demonstration
1. History of sports
2. Types of Sports
3. Rules in sports
4. Safety measures in playing games or sports
The teacher encourages the students to ask questions about the lesson. He also allows
the students to read to enhance their reading literacy.
D. Application:
Individual Activity:
Tell if the safety measures applied in each situation is correct by using body gestures.
1. Wearing the right equipment with the right fit decreases your chances of getting
hurt.
2. Mouth guards can help protect your teeth while you play sports.
3. Start with high intensity exercise to warm up your body.
4. Have a constant practice rain or shine
5. Dehydration is a good sign that you are playing well.
The teacher encourages all the students to have active participation in the activity. Also,
letting them to ask questions.
E. Generalization:
To give equal opportunities to learners, the teacher calls the learner/s who are not yet
reciting to sum up the lesson using the listed (HOTS) questions above.
