IMPORTANCE OF RESEARCH IN DAILY LIFE 2

Abstract

This paper is about the Importance of Research in Daily Life. It tackles the importance of research

not just in academics but also in society. Research is commonly percieved as a burden due to the

cost and process everyone has to go through when making a research. But I believe, research

should not be percieved this way. We can learn various lessons in research. Conducting a research

develops an attittude to not believe everything that is easily available, it empowers us with

knowledge and efficient learning of new things, and helps us in understanding various issues of

life in a larger manner. To conclude the research, it aims to change the perspective of most of the

people in research. Research is not a burden, it is not about the materials, the cost, the process of

conducting it. But research is a strategy, a tool, a weapon we can use to solve the common

problems of the community and even the country.

Keywords: Research, perception, importance, strategy

Introductory Paragraph

I wonder if conducting researches really helps in improving the quality of life and I think

most of the students today agree with me. But, as you go through your Senior High experience,

the importance of having the mind-blogging, time-consuming, and wallet-shaking researches is

getting clearer and clearer. First, it develops the attitude to not believe easily on everything

available. Second, it gives us knowledge and discover faster ways of learning new things. And

third, it helps us in undersrtanding life issues on a much different perspective. Research is indeed,

essential in solving life’s problems, either on a small or large scale.

Body Paragraph

First, it develops an attitude to not believe everything easily available and go on one track.

Back in elementary, when I research for assignments, I always search the web with the keywords,

and selecting the ones that shows first. For it is ‘related’ to my search topic. I go through these

sites without realizing that some of them bring false information. These false information may lead

to false beliefs. Conducting researches on various issues and things helps us to produce credible

resources. I am assured that the information I will be giving is correct because I also experienced

conducting a research. There are various sources that provides false information to fool the people

on what is really the truth. Lies can be concealed on so many ways that it can be believed to be

true. Research is important to your daily life because it provides information that allows you to

make informed decisions.(Singh, 2018)

Second, researching empowers us with knowledge and efficient learning of new things.

We you search, you gain knowledge. "Knowledge" basically pertains to facts based on objective

insights and/or study findings processed by the human brain. It can be acquired through various

ways, such as reading books and online articles written by educators, listening to experts, watching

documentaries or investigative shows, conducting scientific experiments, and interaction with

other people, among others. These facts can be checked to ensure truthfulness and accuracy.(Zarah,

2019) When you research, you find new ways to see something, new ways to create something,

new ways to use something. Reseaching leads to the discovery of new ideas from existing things

to make the use of something more efficient. Efficiency is critical in today’s situation. When you

wake up and go to school, you think of easier and efficient way. You can ride a bike, you can ride

a jeep, or a tricycle, or you can walk. To be more efficient, you can take the bike. It can go through

narrow roads and traffic easily. Research leads to increase in knowledge and discovery of efficient

ways in learning new things.

Lastly, Research helps us in understanding various issues of life in a larger manner. For

example, poverty is one of the most common yet unresolved problem of the society. If you just

look literally at the problem on poverty, it is about the hunger of children and families. But

researching about the problem leads you to more and more strings of ideas and issues connected

to poverty. Why are these families poor? What are the factors that cause the families to be poor?

What are the measures they make to solve this problem? Is the measure they made enough to solve

their problem? And more and more strings of questions follow that lead to further research and

study. Research enables us to look the issues at a larger manner. If we look closely on the problem

of poverty, it is only about the poor families in need of food and homes. But if your look at the

bigger picture. It could be about the status of the community, no family planning made, no working

member in the family, and more and more problems. We need to look at the things on a different

perspective. There are other sides of the problem, and other ways to solve them.

Concluding Paragraph

In conclusion, with all the points I have presented, I would like everyone to think again

about their impression in Research. Research isn’t about the costs, the sleepless nights, coffees,

and noodles, it is about the information you learned and gathered allthroughout your researching

experience. With all the issues and problems the country is facing today, you can do your part in

researching with new perspective and new ideas to solve problems. And maybe someday, the

tiniest idea you have thought in your research can aid the resolution of the community’s biggest

problem, or even better, the country’s issues.
