Mani Benefits Yeshe Phuntsok

Buddha Shakyamuni told Sarvanivarana-Viskambhin bodhisattva that


if one were to frequently recite the Six Syllables Mani mantra, while
he/she is reciting it, Tathagatas equal in number to the sand-grains
of 99 Ganges Rivers will congregate, so will Bodhisattvas as
numerous as dust-motes gather, similarly, the celestial beings from
the Trayastrimsa heaven will come. The four heavenly kings will
protect one in the east, south, west and north directions, and infinite
koti-niyuta numbers of Naga kings, Yakshas on earth and Devas in
space will come to give their protection.
Moreover, all the infinite Tathagatas in the pores of Avalokiteshvara
Bodhisattva will praise and acclaim this Awareness-holder saying,
“Excellent, excellent, virtuous son! You have obtained such a wish-
fulfilling jewel, seven generations in your family will attain liberation.
Virtuous son! All the tiny lives in this Awareness-holder’s stomach
will attain the irreversible Bodhisattva stages. If one can wear this
Six-Syllables Mantra on his body or around his neck, anyone who
beholds this person will have seen the Vajra body. This is equal to
seeing the Stupa, or Tathagata or someone who has koti (great)
wisdom.
If one can recite this Six Syllables Mani Mantra properly, then this
person will obtain inexhaustible eloquence and debating skills. He
will obtain a clear wisdom aggregate, great kindness and
compassion. Every day, he would be able to perfect the merits of the
six Paramitas. This practitioner will obtain the sky turning wheel
empowerment. When his breath is blown on others, these people
will generate kindness and be free from the poison of anger,
gradually attaining the stage of an irreversible bodhisattva, swiftly
proceeding to unsurpassed enlightenment.

真正如法地持诵观音心咒,就是和观音之心接通,在咒力加持
下,能迅速入定。不必另修其它,以这一法就能成就甚深三摩
地,但必须很“如法”才行。
佛在《大乘庄严宝王经》中说:若依法念诵六字大明陀罗尼,持
诵者将会证得三摩地,所谓持摩尼宝三摩地、广博三摩地、清净
地狱旁生三摩地、金刚甲胄三摩地、妙足平满三摩地、入诸方便
三摩地、入诸法三摩地、观庄严三摩地、法车声三摩地、远离贪
嗔痴三摩地、无边际三摩地、六波罗蜜多门三摩地、持大妙高三
摩地、救诸怖畏三摩地、现诸佛刹三摩地、观察诸佛三摩地。像
这样,获得一百零八种三摩地。

If one truly recites the Mani mantra in a correct manner, one will
connect with Avalokiteshvara’s mind and through the blessings of
the mantra, enter meditative concentration. There is no need for
any other practice. With this method, one can accomplish deep
samadhi. But the prerequisite is that one’s practice is in accordance
with the Dharma teachings.
Buddha said in the Mahayana King of Jewelled Ornament Sutra that
if one recites this Six-Syllables Mani mantra, the person who recites
it will attain samadhi, in particular the Mani Jewel Samadhi, Vast
Samahi, Purifying Hells and Animals Samadhi, Vajra Armor Samadhi,
Sufficiently Full Wonderful Samadhi, Entering All Skilful Methods
Samadhi, Entering All Dharmas Samadhi, Viewing all Sublimities
Samadhi, Sound of Dharma Vehicle Samadhi, Separating from Desire,
Anger and Ignorance Samadhi, Unlimited Samadhi, Six Paramita
Doors Samadhi, Upholding the Great Wonder Samadhi, Saving from
All Fears Samadhi, Manifesting the Buddhas’ Pure Realms Samadhi,
Observing All Buddhas Samadhi. In this way, one will attain 108
types of Samadhi.
《莲花藏经》中说:如果持诵观音明咒,能得到财富、粮食等受
用,能避免遭遇怨敌、传染病、毒、兵器、监狱和非时横死,而
且能从中得到解脱。
In the Lotus Treasury Sutra, it is stated that if one recites the Mani
mantra, one will obtain wealth, food and all other possessions; avert
enemies, contagious diseases, poisons, weapons, imprisonment or
untimely deaths.
事例证明:
台湾林振雄律师,1981 年 3 月,骑机车带妻子回永和,开到台
北环河东路四段的一个交叉口上,突然有个年轻骑士飞快地冲过
来,刚好撞上,立刻人仰车翻,两人都被撞得弹出去好几尺。
林律师被撞,心里很清醒,他勉强挣着爬起来。四肢麻痹,不能
开口说话,他下意识感觉到死亡就要降临。忽然他想起观世音菩
萨的六字大明咒,就默默地念起来。才念三遍,奇迹发生了,四
肢不仅不麻木,而且灵活起来,还可以开口说话。他妻子当时只
受一点擦伤。
我们遇到危难时,如果第一反应就念六字大明咒,一定会得到神
速感应。

A case in point (English translation is summarized):


In Taiwan, lawyer Lin was riding a scooter with his wife in March
1981 back to Yonghe, when he reached Taipei, they met in a collision
with another rider and were flung out of the car to several feet away.
Lawyer Lin remained conscious and tried to struggle to his feet. But
he found his limbs paralyzed and he could not even articulate a
word. Subconsciously he was aware that death was imminent.
Suddenly, he thought of the Mani mantra of Avalokiteshvara and
began to recite it silently. After just 3 recitations, a miracle occurred
and the paralysis began to subside and he could start to talk again.
His wife only sustained some minor injuries.
Therefore, when we meet with dangers, if our first reaction is to
recite the Mani mantra, we will receive a rapid response.
《千手千眼经》说:如果饮食被人下毒,至心持诵观音心咒,受
用这一食物反而成为胜妙天食。
In the Thousand Hands, Thousand Eyes Sutra, it is stated, if food is
poisoned, by reciting the Mani mantra with one mind, this food
would instead become like a heavenly delicacy.
《十一面经》说:若持诵此咒,将被千眼观照、千手救护。若以
六字大明咒加持水,凡是喝到水的人,业障一定清净。凡是听闻
此咒的人,或者触到风吹的咒声的人也能清净业障。
In the Eleven Faced Sutra, it is stated, if one recites this mantra, one
will be looked over by a thousand eyes, and saved by a thousand
hands. If one blesses water with the Mani mantra, those who drink
this water will purify their negative karma and obscurations. Anyone
who listens to this mantra or who contacts the wind that carries this
mantra sound will purify their negativities.
《六字明咒经》说:谁持咒或作意“嗡嘛呢呗弥吽”,能免一切
疾病损害,延年益寿、财富增上,并能清净一切业障,获得解
脱。
In the Six Syllable Mani Mantra Sutra, it is stated whoever recites this
mantra Om Ma Ni Pad Me Hung, will avert all sicknesses, extend
their lives, increase their fortune, purify all negative karmas and
attain liberation.
《自在轮经》说:如果每天坚持念诵一千八百遍六字大明咒,能
清净一切罪业和障碍,并从病、魔等违缘中解脱。
In the Liberated Wheel Sutra, it is stated if one is able to recite the
Mani Mantra 1080 times daily, one can purify all negative karmas
and obstacles, escaping from the adversities of sicknesses and
demons.
《莲花冠续》中说:仅仅一次念诵、一次作意或身体一触“嗡嘛
呢呗弥吽”,也能清净五无间罪、近五无间罪等的一切罪障,从
三恶趣解脱之后,不再受身语意三业的痛苦。而且,从野兽、罗
刹等的一切非人中解脱,也从一切疾病和怖畏中解脱,亲眼见到
证悟法身后显现的色身圣尊。
The Tantra of Lotus Crown states, just by reciting once, or bringing to
mind or contacting with the body the mantra “Om Ma Ni Pad Me
Hung”, one can purify the five uninterrupted karmas, the five near-
uninterrupted karmas and all negativities and obscurations. After
being liberated from the three lower realms, one will not suffer from
the karmas of body, speech and mind. Furthermore, one will be
freed from sufferings inflicted by wild animals, Rakshas and all non-
human beings, will be liberated from all sicknesses and fears, will
directly behold the Rupakaya deity who has realized the state of
Dharmakaya.

Khenpo Kathar Rinpoche

Responding to a question of a student who is unable to gain any


meditative stability and is worried about how to handle the bardo
transition:

There are definitely means and instructions that will enable you to
develop the type of stability that is needed to successfully traverse
the bardo. As you indicated in your question, we all want to achieve
this kind of stability. It is not necessarily achieved by practicing a
large variety of techniques, but by properly implementing any one
complete technique of practice. Visualizing your body as the deity
Chenrezi, repeating the mantra OM MANI PADME HUNG, and
dissolving the appearance of the deity into emptiness at the
conclusion of the session are the three techniques by which you can
achieve the necessary stability for traversing the bardo. The phase of
the meditation where you withdraw or dissolve the appearance of
the deity is how to cultivate familiarity with the clear light so that
you can recognize the dharmakaya at death. Meditating upon your
body as the body of Chenrezi is how you can gain the ability to
achieve liberation as the sambhogakaya in the second phase of the
bardo. Repetition of the mantra OM MANI PADME HUNG is how you
can learn to view all sound, including the sounds that appear in the
bardo, as mantra. Furthermore, the motivation of great compassion
with which you perform the whole practice is the basis for the
altruistic aspiration to reborn as nirmanakaya for the benefit of
others, which is the key to traversing the third phase of the bardo,
and doing this one complete technique will achieve all that you need.
In contrast, knowledge of a large number of techniques without
gaining stability in any one of them will not bring this.

Responding to a student’s question on how to prepare for death with


a good amount of confidence:

I am a lot older than you are and so I’ve got more to worry about.
Therefore this is of great concern to me too, so I’ll tell you what I
really think. The single best preparation that you can have for dying
is to recite the mantra OM MANI PADME HUNG. If you make the
commitment to yourself, “I will recite 100 million OM MANI PADME
HUNG,” whether or not you complete it in this life, from the day you
make that commitment until the day you die, this will have a great
effect on you, and you will have tremendous benefit. As for what
you meditate on, you should always visualize above your head either
the Buddha Amitabha or the Bodhisattva Chenrezi, it does not
matter which. Just think that the deity is the embodiment in one
form of all sources of refuge and especially of all of your spiritual
teachers. Continually visualize them there, above your head, day
and night, and resolve that at death your consciousness will dissolve
upward into them. What you meditate on and visualize is your
teacher in the form of Amitabha or Chenrezi above your head and
what you recite is the mantra OM MANI PADME HUNG. That is the
best preparation.
「六字真言」為觀音菩薩微妙心印,有無量無邊不可思議功德,
為十方諸佛所讚歎。若書六字大明,如同書三藏法寶。如誦六字
大明,三世業障悉得清淨,了脫生死,究竟成就;且能斷無明、
開智慧、降魔、治病、增富、救貧、消災、延壽,救百千難苦,
摧滅貪嗔痴,閉塞輪迴路,歷代眷屬俱得超生,腹腸諸蟲,亦得
證果;又具無量三昧法門,日日得具足六波羅密功德。一切金剛
護法、天龍八部,無不歡喜擁護。欲生何佛土,均如願成就。不
但持誦書寫與觀想等,始有功德。只要此真言著於身,觸於手,
耳有所聞,目有所見,或藏於家中,或書於門上,或展旗揚幡,
凡沾此法味者,任何眾生,亦得生死解脫之因,同證菩提道果之
德。逢凶化吉,遇難呈祥。凡未成佛,求壽,求子,求福,求
權,求消滅一切地水火風空災難危險,以及一切所求,無不如摩
尼寶珠,各滿其願。總而言之,六字真言之功德,就是佛之智慧
來講,亦窮劫難盡。若以現在藏經上所載之功德來講,亦要講三
年方能講完。

念修六字大明咒实有不可思议之功德。《莲花藏经》云:“若持
圣观音之明咒,能获得财富、粮食等受用,能免遇怨敌、传染
病、毒、兵器、监狱以及非时横死,并能从中获得解脱。”《千
手千眼经》云:“食物饮料若被下毒,至心持诵大悲观音咒,则
食此物反成胜妙天食。”《十一面经》云:“若诵此咒,则被千
眼垂视,千手救护。若以此咒加持水,则凡喝此水者,业障定得
清净。凡听闻此咒者或被咒声随风所触之人,亦能清净业障。”
《六字大明咒经》云:“何人若诵若作意‘嗡嘛呢叭咪吽’之明
咒,能避免一切疾病之损害,并能从中获得解脱,清净一切业
障,获得长寿,且受用财富增上。”

《宝箧经》云:“若持诵六字大明咒,能使福德具足。诵此咒
时,九十一恒河沙数佛陀亲临,微尘数菩萨亦亲临,且天、龙、
鸠槃荼、四大天王等亲临而守护之。其人身内之一切有情能获不
退转菩萨位。若身上佩带此明咒,则成金刚身,并成舍利塔,当
知此理。若诵此明咒,则能具足清净之无量慈心、悲心与智慧
聚。若每日诵此明咒,则圆满六度,并能获得持明之转轮王位,
现前无上菩提,成就佛果。即使仅以手触此明咒,亦将成为最后
有菩萨。若男若女,若童男若童女,若鸟若兽等即使仅见此明
咒,亦将成为最后有菩萨。”《具义索经》云:“闻此观音咒藏
之有情者,若于旁生耳边诵此咒者,则其解脱恶趣后,往生西方
极乐世界。”

《自在轮经》云:“若每日念诵一千八百遍六字大明咒者,清净
一切罪业及障碍,并从病、魔等违缘中解脱。”《一百零八名号
经》云:“若诵嗡嘛呢叭咪吽者,不堕三恶趣,不感染由其业力
所感之麻风病、黄水疮之皮肤病、疮疽、肺气肿等一切疾病,并
从中解脱,能忆念一切宿世,命终时往生极乐刹土。”
《佛说大乘庄严宝王经》云:“善男子,大地之尘可尽数,一诵
六字大明咒之福德聚不可胜数;大海之水滴可尽数,一诵六字大
明咒之福德聚不可胜数。善男子,譬如一长宽各一百由旬、高五
百由旬之房内,装满芝麻,于其门口,有一长生不死之人,每一
百劫取出一粒,乃至芝麻取尽之时间内,欲算数一诵六字大明咒
之福德聚而不能尽。善男子,四大部洲中,所有青稞、豌豆、小
麦等粮食之颗粒可数尽,一诵六字大明咒之福德聚不可胜数。善
男子,犹如瞻部洲中,恒河等十一大河及其附属之五百小河,昼
夜不息流入大海,一诵六字大明咒之福德聚亦如是而增上。如是
大河中之水滴可尽数,一诵六字大明咒之福聚德不能胜数。善男
子,世间之马、象等牲畜,獐子等山兽,狮子、老虎、兔子等动
物,所有兽类之毛虽可尽数,一诵六字明咒之福德聚不能胜数。
善男子,比如一高九万九千由旬,宽一百万零四千由旬,长一千
万由旬之金刚铁山,于其山边有一长生不死之人,用嘎息嘎之
布,每一百劫磨此山一次,乃至山尽之时间内,一诵六字大明咒
之福德聚不能胜数。善男子,譬如一深八万四千由旬,广如铁围
山所围大小之大海,大小如头发百分之一之水滴可尽数,一诵六
字大明咒之福德聚不可胜数。善男子,譬如一息卡树园中之树叶
可一一尽数,一诵六字大明咒之福德聚不可胜数。善男子,譬如
四大洲中所有之男、女、童男、童女皆为七地菩萨,其福德不及
一诵六字大明咒之福德聚。善男子,于一年之十二月中或有闰月
之十三个月中,不分昼夜之雨滴可尽数,一诵六字大明咒之福德
聚不可胜数。无须再多说,于我及如我善逝,数至一千万,于一
劫中,以妙衣等供养之功德,此与六字大明咒之福德聚亦不能
比,况以供养我独自之功德乎?”

《莲花冠续》云:“仅仅一诵、一作意(忆念)或身一触‘嗡嘛
呢叭咪吽',亦能清净五无间罪、近五无间罪等一切罪障,从八
无暇之三恶趣中解脱后,不再受身语意三业的痛苦。并从野兽、
罗刹等一切非人及一切疾病、畏惧中解脱,亲见由证悟法身后所
显现之色身圣尊。”圣者观世音曾在娑婆世界化现为大法王松赞
干布,他在《嘛呢全集》(是一切经续的总集,为藏地的第一个
伏藏品)中如是宣说持诵六字明咒之功德。

若持诵六字大明咒,可以回遮并寂灭世间邪魔之损害。(嗡嘛呢
叭咪吽)中,嗡字,能回遮并寂灭天魔之损害;嘛字,能回遮并
寂灭鬼女之损害;呢字,能回遮并寂灭邪王之损害;叭字,能回
遮并寂灭土地神之损害;咪字,能回遮并寂灭魔与死魔之损害;
吽字,能回遮并寂灭鸠槃荼与罗睺之损害。

若持诵六字大明咒,能消除四百零四种疾病;嗡字,能消除四大
共同引发之疾病;嘛字,能消除热病;呢字,能消除风病;叭
字,能消除涎病;咪字,能消除寒病;吽字,能消除胆病;如是
能遣除一切疾病。

若持诵六字大明咒,能清净六道业障,并遣除其痛苦。嗡字,能
清净天之业障,并遣除其死堕苦;嘛字,能清净非天之业障,并
遣除其战斗苦;呢字,能清净人之业障,并遣除其生老病死苦;
叭字,能清净旁生之业障,并遣除其役使苦;咪字,能清净饿鬼
之业障,并遣除其饥渴苦;吽字,能清净地狱之业障,并遣除其
寒热苦。

若持诵六字大明咒,能关闭转生六趣之门,嗡字,能消除傲慢心
所引转生天趣之业力,关闭转生天趣之门;嘛字,能消除嫉妒心
所引转生非天之业力,关闭转生非天之门;呢字,能消除贪心所
引转生人趣之业力,关闭转生人趣之门;叭字,能消除痴心所引
转生旁生之业力,关闭转生旁生之门;咪字,能消除吝啬心所引
转生饿鬼之业力,关闭转生饿鬼之门;吽字,能消除嗔心所引转
生地狱之业力,关闭转生地狱之门。

持诵此明咒王者,能清净一切十不善业、五无间罪等以身语意三
门所造之业障及习气。嗡字,清净身障,嘛字,清净语障;呢
字,清净意障;叭字,清净烦恼障;咪字,清净习气障;吽字,
清净所知障。

持诵六字大明咒能清净恢复所违犯的秘密乘之根本与支分誓言,
嗡字,恢复身之誓言;嘛字,恢复语之誓言;呢字,恢复意之誓
言;叭字,恢复根本誓言;咪字,恢复支分誓言;吽字,恢复一
切誓言。

再者,一切不善业之因乃为五毒烦恼,持诵六字大明咒能摧伏并
寂灭一切五毒烦恼的分别念,嗡字,摧灭愚痴心;嘛字,摧灭嗔
恨心;呢字,摧灭我慢心;叭字,摧灭贪欲心;咪字,摧灭嫉妒
心;吽字,摧灭一切烦恼心。

再者,十方三世无余一切之皈依处可总集为三宝与三根本,若持
六字大明咒者则为一切皈依中之殊胜者,嗡字,皈依佛;嘛字,
皈依法;呢字,皈依僧;叭字,皈依上师;咪字,皈依本尊;吽
字,皈依空行。持诵六字大明咒能拔除轮回与恶趣中的一切痛
苦。

再者,若持诵六字大明咒,则别解脱戒、菩萨戒、密乘戒之三种
戒体,于自相续中未生者,能生起;已生者,能不受损害而增
上;已生而受损害者,能得以恢复。并具足三乘戒之一切功德。
嗡字,护持声闻戒;嘛字,护持独觉戒;呢字,护持菩萨戒;叭
字,护持居士戒;咪字,护持八关斋戒;吽字,护持密乘戒。

再者,若持诵六字大明咒,能生起慈悲喜舍四无量心,并能以四
无量心利益众生,嗡字,能产生大悲心;嘛字,能产生慈无量
心;呢字,能产生悲无量心;叭字,能产生喜无量心;咪字,能
产生舍无量心;吽字,能产生法性无量心,如是六种无量心于相
续中生起,并以此利益众生。

再者,若持诵此六字大明咒,能积集大乘菩提心之一切功德,能
于自相续生起并增上菩提心宝,嗡字,生起愿菩提心;嘛字,生
起行菩提心;呢字,生起无二菩提心;叭字生起法性菩提心;咪
字,生起智慧菩提心;吽字,生起胜义菩提心。

再者,如海菩萨行可以归纳为六度,若诵此六字大明咒则能圆满
六度,嗡字圆满布施度;嘛字圆满持戒度;呢字,圆满忍辱度;
叭字,圆满精进度;咪字,圆满禅定度;吽字,圆满般若度。

如是若持诵此大明咒,能自然而然地获得秘密金刚乘甚深之成熟
灌顶,完全成熟自相续,嗡字,身获得天尊身灌顶;嘛字,语获
得咒语灌顶;呢字,心获得法灌顶;叭字,以宝瓶灌顶成熟身;
咪字,以秘密灌顶成熟语;吽字,以智慧灌顶成熟意。

再者,若持诵此六字大明咒王,则为祈祷十方三世之三宝、三根
本及如海护法众,且为一切祈祷之精华,一切祈祷之王,一切祈
祷中之唯一根本。嗡字,祈祷一切佛菩萨之身;嘛字,祈祷一切
佛菩萨之语;呢字,祈祷一切佛菩萨之意;叭字,祈祷一切佛菩
萨之功德;吽字,祈祷一切佛菩萨之身语意功德事业五者。

如是若持诵并祈祷此六字大明咒王,则能获得诸佛菩萨身语意功
德事业无尽庄严轮之一切加持与悉地,嗡字,身获身加持;嘛
字,语获语加持;呢字,意获意加持;叭字,自生功德加持;咪
字,随欲成就事业加持;吽字,无碍获得一切加持。

再者,若诵修此六字大明咒王,获得内外五大种清净后,又能获
得暂时五部空行的加持与悉地,究竟清净五佛母之自性而成就佛
果。嗡字,使五大清净为金刚瑜伽母;嘛字,使地大清净为佛部
空行;呢字,使心清净为金刚部空行;叭字,使火大清净为宝生
部空行;咪字,使水大清净为莲花部空行;吽字,使风大清净为
事业部空行。如是,内五大种清净为五部空行。又嗡字,聚明六
字母;嘛字,普贤佛母;呢字,佛眼佛母;叭字,白衣佛母;咪
字,玛玛革佛母;吽字,救度佛母。如是五大清净为五佛母之本
性而成佛也。

再者,若持诵此六字大明咒王,能将五毒烦恼分别念寂灭于法界
而现前五智慧。嗡字,能现前法界智;嘛字,能现前大圆镜智;
呢字,能现前平等性智;叭字,能现前各别自证智;咪字,能现
前成所作智;吽字,能现前俱生智;如是六种智慧不必寻找而自
然现前。

再者,若持诵此六字大明咒王,则内外五蕴能清净为五部佛之体
性,嗡字,能获得大悲聚明之果位;嘛字,能成就毗卢遮那佛;
呢字,能成就金刚萨埵;叭字,能成就宝生佛;咪字,能成就无
量光佛;吽字,能获得不空成就佛之果位。
如是若持诵六字大明咒王,则能将二障及其习气寂灭于法界,并
现前本来怙主自成五身大金刚持普贤观自在之果位,乃至轮回未
空之间,于三界内化身而恒常、周遍、任运度化众生,嗡字,任
运获得法身;嘛字,任运获得报身;呢字,任运获得化身,叭
字,任运获得体性身;咪字,任运获得现前菩提身;吽字,任运
获得不变金刚身。

圣者观世音所化现的头顶无量光佛、现量安住法界本性的大法王
松赞干布云:“嗡嘛呢叭咪吽” ,乃幻化之身文字,能成办各
种利益;也是语文字,能成办念诵。伏藏大师列绕朗巴(法王如
意宝前世)之伏藏品中云:“十方一切诸善逝,最极精华如意
宝,皆集于此六字咒,能速成就三世佛。”若念修此随欲成就之
诸佛精藏如意宝者,则能寂灭一切暂时之疾病、饥荒、刀兵以及
四大之损害等违缘,寿命福德财富受用等增上广大,诸佛菩萨及
白方天众垂念守护。从无始来所造之业,烦恼、痛苦、罪障及其
习气无余清净,远离轮回、恶趣、中阴之一切痛苦,往生莲花庄
严极乐刹土,最后获得一切智智之佛位。一切经、续、窍诀及教
言藏皆言:此乃欲求解脱者之唯一如意宝,故当精勤修持也。六
字大明咒如此殊胜,而非薄福之人所能值遇。

如《佛说大乘庄严宝王经》中,佛对除盖障菩萨说,当时佛为求
得“嗡嘛呢叭咪吽”六字真言,于无量世间供养千万俱胝如来,
尚未求得,后因承事供养胜莲如来方才得到,而胜莲如来亦由承
事供养无量如来方得此法。所以如今大家能念修此法,应当生感
恩心作希有想,来信受奉行。
如果真正具足正知正见、对佛陀量士夫有不可思议、不退转的坚
固信心,又对此咒王普被三根的不可思议加持力有了定解,则不
但白天连晚上睡梦中也会精进念此咒的。

反观我们自己现在最差的就是信心,多的是世智辩聪。全知麦彭
仁波切在讲六度中般若度时,把这种不属于闻思修智慧的颠倒世
智辩聪叫做与般若波罗蜜多相违的颠倒习气,在这种恶心的支配
下,众生整天邪思妄想、打妄语、作非法行,这些玩世间小聪明
的分别心并不是真智慧,反到成为获得悉地的障碍。当今的众生
烦恼粗、邪见重,大多不相信有前生后世,不承认有六道轮回和
因果报应,当然更不会谨慎取舍善恶业。同样对此咒的功德,一
般分别心很强、不信因果、尤其不信佛的人,对诸佛菩萨不可思
议神通力加持过的心咒之功德会生邪见,说这咒子我写了、也念
了,哪里见有什么功德?加持在什么地方。

对这种人就是十方诸佛、千手千眼大悲观世音亲自现前,来教化
他,历经千百年,对他也不会有丝毫利益。到头来依旧沉沦生
死,生生世世难得解脱。所以我们不应分别为什么“嗡嘛呢叭咪
吽”有这么大功德与力量?为什么仅仅一个字就具足遣除违缘、
清净业障、关闭轮回之门、恢复戒体、有回遮与寂灭魔害等等的
作用?……

这里再三强调,信心是成就的根本,你对心咒功德怀疑不信或者
虽信但懈怠散乱,念诵时也不如法,要想得大加持当然不可能。
反之,若信心真纯,则诸佛菩萨功德真实不虚,甚深三摩地加持
过的心咒力不可思议,深信虔诵观音心咒者必然暂时业消智朗、
障尽福崇,究竟成就与观音菩萨无二的果位。这一点是十方诸佛
共证、千经万论均宣的。但对六道众生来讲,旁生愚笨,没有知
言解义的能力,无缘领受妙法,而邪魔外道、一般的世智辩聪,
邪见又深、难信圣言,这都成了获得六字大明咒功德的根本障
碍,可怜的众生,观音菩萨大悲赐如意宝却无缘受用枉受诸苦。
