do you guys at least acknowledge at this stage that the problem is not with my hardware or software?
i'm able to run the following games with none of them displaying same problems as black ops:
as i said before as is i've received a defective product, which i want refunded or exchanged on steam.
it would help me a lot if you guys dropped them a line or two, quoting steam ticket number [xxxx-xxxx-xxxx]
[11111a1a] , which was also cross referenced to the current support case open with activision.
i want a refund or exchange, and you guys gonna have to help me with it since you failed to deliver the product as
advertised.
- Check for any available BIOS updates. You might need to check with your system manufacturer for this advanced
topic.
- Update your Motherboard drivers. It appears you are using a Nforce chipset. Since everything runs through your
motherboard, the motherboard chipset drivers should be installed and up to date. Otherwise, this can lead to system
instability. Here are the links to the most common motherboard chipset manufacturers:
NVIDIA - http://www.nvidia.com (for nForce Platform Processor only)
If you do not know who makes your motherboard chipset, please consult with your PC manufacturer or your
motherboard manufacturer for more information.
Note that these are both advanced updates. If you are unsure how to obtain the correct drivers and/or perform these
updates, you will want to check with your systems manufacturer and/or the specific chipset manufacturer for
instructions.
Based on a few other reports from users, you might also try
Please note that performance on certain graphics cards is currently being addressed and may help resolve your issue.

the problem remains as per original report - after the game starts, withing 10 minutes the first fps drop occurs,
following this are repeating fps drops making the game unplayable.
for the record, i've tried the game on a laptop which has i5, 4gb of ddr3 ram and 1 gb 320m video card - there is
exactly the same problem there.
Your display driver is out of date. You can update to the latest driver at:

Your page file is rather large. I want you to shut down some applications running in the background. To do this please
do the following:
1) Press the Windows Key + r to bring up the Run box
2) Type msconfig, hit ok
3) Go to the startup tab
4) Everything checked in here is a program that starts when windows does. None of these should be necessary for
Windows to operate. Please take note which ones are checked (for your records later).
5) Uncheck everything
6) Click on the Services tab
7) Make sure the box at the bottom next to "Hide all Microsoft services" is checked
8) Uncheck everything in this list as well
9) Hit ok, reboot as prompted (if you receive a popup window concerning using your systems selective startup when
your system finishes rebooted please click the option for "Do not show this window in the future").
Also try resetting your game configuration. You can do this by deleting the config file. The file is found at the path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\call of duty black ops\players
You will need to delete the files named config and config_mp.
Returns need to take place through the retailer you purchased the game from as it is with them that you have
exchanged your money. You will need to speak with the retailer concerning their return policy.
Please attach a new dxdiag if you continue to have trouble.
I'd like you to send me a diagnostic of your computer. To do this, you need to:
1) Press the Windows Key + r to bring up the Run box
2) In the box type: dxdiag
3) Click the OK button.
4) DirectX Diagnostic Tool will open, click the Save All Information button at the bottom.
5) Save the dxdiag.txt file to your desktop. NOTE: Skip to step 9 if you are already logged in to your Activision
account
6) Login to your account at http://activision.custhelp.com.
7) Click My Stuff and then click Questions.
8) Find your current incident and click on it under the Subject column.
9) Click Update Question.
10) Under Attach Additional Documents to Question you will see a Browse button. Click that and browse your
computer for the Dxdiag on your desktop. When you locate the file, double click on it.
11) Once the file appears as attached, you can now enter any additional information about your Incident in the Results
and/or Additional Information field.
12) Click Submit Update to Question to send the Dxdiag
