This report is based upon the book in Human Behavior in Organization written by Dr. Roberto G.
Medina and is published and copyrighted in 2011, and was distributed by Rex Book Store Inc.
(RBSI).

Introduction of the Author


The book Human Behavior in an Organization was written by Dr. Roberto Medina. He earned his
Ph.D. in commerce at the University of Santo Tomas. He is a famous book author of Business
Courses in the Philippines.
His work experiences include more than twenty years of teaching in various colleges and
universities. Among the different academic positions he held were department chairman, dean, and
vice president. He also served as consultant to several business and educational institutions.
Dr. Medina also served as lecturer/speaker to MBA students and also provide mentorship options
to young business educators.
In addition, he is also a great song writer where his one hundred musical compositions led to
recordings by VICOR Music and Alpha Records.
Summary
I found this book to be very useful and be well thought and well-written. This book is intended for
the use of business and HRM students who are taking a course in Human Behavior in Organization.
The book is meant to be useful tools in the learning process for it provides essential information
needed by the students at the same time by the teachers teaching the course.
The book has 11 informative chapters with various topics that include Overview of Human
Behavior in Organization, Individual Differences, Mental ability, and Personality, Learning,
Perception, and Attribution, Values, Attitudes, and Job Satisfaction, Communication, Work Teams
and Groups, Leadership, Performance Management and Rewards, Foundations of Organizational
Structure and Conflict and Negotiation.
I highly recommend this book to be utilized by the students who are taking the course in Human
Behavior in Organization course for it is substantial, organized, and realistic and specific.
This book is really substantial for it provide great knowledge and information. It is organized in a
manner where each chapter begin with an overview of the topic, followed by a summary, guide
questions for review and discussions, suggested item for research, case studies and end with
chapter exercises. On the other hand, it is realistic and specific for it gives real-life situations and
exact examples for the different topics written in the book.
