EXECUTIVE DIPLOMA IN OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY & HEALTH 

CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY AND SAFETY 
ASSIGNMENT  
This is the construction of one of the 32 blocks of school projects located in different 
district in Selangor (see photos below). The school project is been constructed using 
Industrialise Building System (IBS) consisting of precast reinforced concrete column, 
beams and slab, window frames and roof trusses. The total contract sum is RM180 
million.  The  cost  for  one  block  of  the  school  is  about  RM5  million.  As  a  safety 
officer/supervisor you are required to advise the management on the registration of 
the site to JKKP and the requirement of safety personnel for the project. 
You  are  required  to  gives  the  advantages  of  using  Industrialise  building  system 
construction  and  describe  the  typical  method  statement  of  erection  of  the 
industrialise building system structure for the school. Elaborate 6 possible hazards 
including mechanical and electrical works during construction and analyze the risks 
associated with the hazards and measures to overcome/reduce the risks.
