Expression Module Reflection

1.) Implication of Feedback

Since we didn’t have enough time to get feedback on our actual projects, we had to get

feedback on our project plans. The feedback I received on that was mainly just a few grammar

fixes otherwise it was good to go. I also needed to add more to my artist description, so I made

sure to add more before I turned it in. As for the actual project, I tried to include and incorporate

as much of the detail my project plan had. It was pretty easy to complete in my opinion because

the project plan really did help me plan put everything that was going to be in my website.

Having the slides main idea written on paper was super beneficial for me.

2.) Learning Reflection

As a future educator, having your own teaching philosophy is very important to have when

you are trying to get a job in the educational field. A teaching philosophy summarizes what you

believe as an educator and the tactics and certain beliefs from other educators that you agree

with. I feel like this was one of the best projects that we worked on this class because it was

well-connected to our futures. We may not use some of the other projects in this class, but I

know for a fact I will use this one. I learned a lot about my perspective on education and what I

am going to do in the future as a teacher. This project also helped me discover my philosophy for

my TEL 111 class, which I thought was extremely helpful. There isn’t really anything I would do

different for this project if I were to do it over again. Maybe I would try a podcast because that

was what I was originally going to do, and it would also be fun because I did enjoy that project.

3.) Alternative use/ Future directions

I couldn’t really see how a website for my teaching philosophy could be used for another

alternative use. It could be turned into a real teaching resume like what I have done but like I

said, that was the project that I initially thought of and did. As for the different technologies that

could’ve been used, I could have done a podcast, interactive power point, I’ve seen some others

do paintings, I could’ve turned it into a song, and even made a short film about my teaching

philosophy. I am not aware of any different technology uses that couldv’e been used for this

project just because I am not the best with it so I don’t know all about it other than the projects

that we have done in this class.
