Guiding Reflection Paper Questions:

➔ Some common themes or patterns I noticed that were in my

reflections were that it had to do with a lot of trial and error. In

every project or module that we did, I had gone through some

sort of process to try and figure out the best way to learn or get

familiar with whatever application or device I was experimenting

with. I was surprised that some of my experiences were easier

than others. By this, I mean that it never really crossed my mind

that I would pick up certain things faster than others considering

the fact that I believed everything would come rather natural to

me. It surprised me that I had to spend more time trying to

figure things out or that I struggled with devices and applications

more that I imagined myself to.

➔ If I take into account my entire experience with this course, I

would say some challenged and problems I encountered

especially at first would be the time management or “time

crunch” portion of it. There were many times where I would

have liked to spend like two weeks or more on an assignment or

construction project so I could deliver the best or what I had

imagined in my head. However, this was rarely possible because

of the fact that for most assignments and projects we only had

about a week to complete them. This amount of time was

definently proficient but there were plenty of times that I know I

could have believed and even better version of my projects of I

had just had the time to do so. The way that I would solve these

issues or work past the was by just accepting and reminding

myself of the fact that I only had so much time to complete

assignments and that I can’t take on more than I could finish in a

timely manner with it still being presentable. I think my process

of dealing with the issues and challenges hasn’t changed much

because there were still times I wanted to go above and beyond

like, for example, my last project when I created a webtoon. I

really wanted to make it 100 %. digital but I knew I did not have

the time to learn how to do it and create it in the span of 1 week

 so I reeled myself back in and worked with what I had available

to me.

➔ Before I took this course, the only way I imagined how you could

learn with technology was through a computer. This is mostly

because this is all I had experienced and dealt with in my

elementary and secondary education. When we learned with

technology, we would just go into a computer lab and go on

websites and things of the sorts that the school had subscriptions

to. Now, however, I’ve definitely been exposed to so many new

forms of technology that could be used for learning and in a

learning environment. I think the one that stood out to me the

most was the little Sphero robot because I had never seen

anything like it and it was very interesting to research how it

could be used and be beneficial in classrooms. I think me being

exposed to all these forms of technology that I had never heard

of let alone interacted with definitely widened my perspective of

what is possible in this modern age in terms of education.

➔ At the beginning of the class, it was very difficult for me to

approach and complete these assignments because of the fact I

was not used to the structure of the class nor was I familiar with

the grading or the expectations. I think this partly has to do with

the fact the class is so opened ended meaning that there are

hardly super strict guidelines to most of the assignments and for

the most part us students were able to be creative with the

projects we got to create. Towards the end of the class however, I

definitely learned to appreciate the structure more because it

was a brand new experience that I think fits well with the class.

In high school, everything is extremely structured and it’s hard

to break away from that because of the expectations but in this

course, it was nice to be able to have some sort of freedom on the

assignments even though it took some getting used to.

➔ I think my classmates created some spectacular things this

semester in the course. It was really cool to see how their mind

processes things and how people overcome some of the same

challenges in different ways. One that sticks out was a Marvel

 movie application that was made for one of the construction

projects.

➔ If im being completely honest other than expanding what I

already have created, I do not think I would change much if

anything at all because i is very proud of the things I was able to

come up with and create.

➔ Next semester I want to manage my time better. Have days

where I can focus on me and my wellbeing but still be able to

handle my business and meet the expectations I have for myself

and the expectations others have for me.
