Overall aim and context of the lesson :

Students will be able to know how to model addition an different way.

Select (S):
On seventeen of october I did a math lesson (model addition) different activity for different levels.

Describe (D):
The lesson was for grade 1 A and B, in Ahmed bin Zayed school. In this lesson, at the beginning
of the lesson, I told the students to set in the carpet and I told him in general what we would do
today. I made some quick review about the last lesson it is numbers and how to count the object
and write the number After that, I told the students we will learn something easy. I started by
guess what inside the box, all the students responded nicely to my question and they ruse their
hand to answer all students guess different think.

Þ The first activity for all students in the class I said to the class every two students work
together. I give him part one of activity is ((find the answer by add the number)) When
they finish come back to carpet to complete the lesson.

When they finish this activity, they come back to the carpet and I ask him some question what
they do, after that I go to part 2 of a lesson it is ((how to add in different way)).

Þ My goal was trying managing learning: I am working on how to addition the different
numbers and I am working on my classroom management skills and reduce behavior
problem.

When I explain the lesson, I noticed many students know the numbers and how to add the
different numbers. because they were taught in the KG2. I was put on the activity many different
numbers they must to know to add the numbers and some the students ask me to translate words
or how to do the add . First of all, I didn't give him the direct answer I read the sentence for him
and I was the act in my hand to understand more. The students were engaged, and I noticed that
they confused between many different color and numbers. Moreover, Next class, I will pay
attention more when I try to give activity each group and make sure all students know the rules. I
think that this lesson was like a challenge for me because this is the first time to try to teacher
grade 1.

Analyze (A):
I think that students were responded nicely to all my question and activities with students, I keep
making my class positive and encourage students to say positive words for them. Additionally,
I am just making different actives for them. I also walked around and ask questions to see their
learning level and what they are learning in my lesson. Also, I try to control behavior students I
use many strategies I learned in college and MST, also I spread my lesson plan two-parts because
my MST says for me the students can't focus more on information. so, at the beginning of the
lesson, I give very 2 student activity one to work together. after that, I told them to come back to
the carpet to complete the lesson. I face the problem in my lesson one of these is time
management because the student’s come to the class late.

Appraise (A):
All students were working nicely in learning centers and keep showing me their work and I think
that they did well. Moreover, the nature of the experience from the students' perspective is they
enjoy doing this activity they think like the game. I used Piaget theory like The Preoperational
Stage " Children begin to think symbolically and learn to use words and pictures to represent
objects." (Kendra, 2018) I put every activity manipulative, so the students will understand more.
also, I use Vygotsky theory ((Children who are in the zone of proximal development for a
specific task can almost perform the task independently, but not quite there yet. However, with an
appropriate amount of assistance, these children can accomplish the task successfully.)) (The
Psychology Notes HQ, 2018) the ZPD to make 3 different activity for a different level of students
in the class and formative assessment. I did my goal in this lesson all students understand how to
add one number. Also, I put near the door exits ticket. When the student leaves the class, they
will put exits ticket in the box and take a paper. Additionally, I make the checklist walk around
and ask them questions to see if they understand the activity and give him some advice to make
better next time.

Transform (T):
I can enhance student learning of this lesson in the future, I will try to make more active so that
all the students will be attention look to me. In the beginning of the class, I will give the students
some rules on how to use the activity and remember the students I will give him 3 warning if they
make bad behavior, after that I will use thinking chair so the student will set and think what
he\she do bad. Also, I will make my class more positive and encourage students to say positive
words for them.
