▪ Provides clarification on the different stages in the
lifecycle of an On-Demand Application (ODA)
▪ Development: Used when creating and configuring an
application to try out an app, tune it, see if it meets your
needs
▪ Production: Used when the application enables users
and systems to finalize the application for production and
then interact with business data
▪ Archived:
− Used when the application no longer requires the creation of
new content, the ability to edit existing content, or the need to
delete content
− Status is not intended for applications that are used
periodically (for example: annual or quarterly business
processes)
▪ Retired:
− Used when the application is no longer "live" or in use.
− Can be applied when the organization does not want to
remove or delete the business data stored in the application.
