Introduction:

This study entitled Developing Curriculum Leadership in Schools

is conducted to investigate the impact of school-based curriculum

development teams on teacher development within the tradition of

school-based curriculum development in a primary school in Hong

Kong. There upon, a project entitled “Accelerating School-based

Curriculum Development” is conducted in a selected school in

Hong Kong.This project is mainly based on three processes comprises

of planning, experimenting and reflecting (PER model).The

objectives stated in the study:

 To develop teachers’ abilities and skills in strategic

planning and development, and using evaluation for school

improvement.

Introduction:

This study entitled Developing Curriculum Leadership in Schools

is conducted to investigate the impact of school-based curriculum

development teams on teacher development within the tradition of

school-based curriculum development in a primary school in Hong

spark that started this study. According to this study,

decentralisation movements in Hong Kong have also brought

fundamental changes to the traditional role of the schools. The

changes is primarily concerned with pupil learning, to one which

focuses on how pupil learning could be enhanced as a result of

teaching learning. Another changes focused is on how schools

become a learning community for pupils as well as for teachers.
