Law and signing of its Implementing Rules and Regulation (IRR) provide a clear context on how the healthcare system is to be implemented in order to address the fragmentation in the delivery of quality health services to all Filipinos. This landmark legislation, in effect, there is a rapid change in Nursing and has created an irresolvable dilemma for nursing services. These changes include a major reconfiguration of the health care system, unprecedented technological advances and enormous changes in the expectations of health care consumers; in which the use of technology have been incorporated in the delivery of health services. Moreover, Nurses are at the forefront of this transformation. Hence, Nurse Administrators especially in the Department of Health and its arm facilities and hospitals have boundless responsibilities in responding to challenges and in the integration of the new solutions in ensuring quality patient care that yields positive outcomes. Relatively, in order to support the swift changes of the situation and keep track of the advances of the healthcare system, the Administration and Financial Management Team of this department will conduct an Updates in Nursing Practice for DOH Chief Nurses with the tentative date on December 4-5, 2019 and venue in Quezon City. This activity aims to update Nursing Administrators with the current trends in nursing practice corresponding to the implementation of the UHC. Objective To develop the knowledge, attitudes and skills of Nursing Administrators in providing information and updates on the advancement in Nursing Practice.
