5-202.12 (A) - HANDWASHING SINK, INSTALLATION
REPEAT OBSERVATION The kitchen's restroom hand sink is providing water at only 68-69 F through normal
use. Sink has a self-closing faucet and even after 4 minutes of reactivating water, the temperature only reaches 94
F. (NOTE: Staff currently complete a second handwashing step at the kitchen hand sink after using the restroom
in response to the lack of hot water at the restroom handsink).
Corrective Action(s): Provide a water temperature of at least 38°C (100°F) through a mixing valve or
combination faucet at the kitchen's restroom hand sink. Correct By: 14-Nov-2019
Code citation: (A) A HANDWASHING SINK shall be equipped to provide water at a temperature of at least
38°C (100°F) through a mixing valve or combination faucet.
